I went to him for plantar fasciitis pain. He was the fourth DPM I tried. He threw me into a boot and had me go to ATI for PT. When I came back for my second visit, he asked how I was doing. When I said«I think a little better» he asked me again and I repeated my answer. He grabbed my foot and dug his thumb into the area of pain and wow, brought me to my knees with pain(figuratively). Then he sat back, smirked and asked«So, do you want the shot now?» To which I replied«You mean a corticosteroid shot? That I’m allergic to? Isn’t that in my chart?» Of course it was, he looked at the chart, sat back and said for me to continue wearing the boot. I was furious. He acted as though I’d been afraid of the shot when another doctor had given me three, they didn’t work but I discovered I was allergic after the area became inflamed with red hives that spread upward along the insode of my calf and I had to see my primary doctor for treatment. To top to off, the stupid boot did nothing, he charged over $ 400 for which my insurance wasn’t going to pay, I found the same boot on the Internet for $ 80AND he put me in a small which fit a women’s size 4 to 6.5 and I’m a 7.5. Turns out all of my problems stemmed from my super-high arch which adversely affected my Achilles’ tendon as diagnosed by a myotherapist. Go see Mary at the Myo pain clinic.
