I really can’t say enough about Dan and Mimi, the dynamic design duo that make up Pastis Design Services, an interior design/​floral design firm.
They are a fun and wildly creative team who will make you feel downright giddy about your design choices. They will work within your budget, your likes and dislikes. What I like most is that even though they are fun and passionate about their work, they also have a lot of common sense. Dan will be brutally frank with you if you are about to make a bad design choice… and he will tell you exactly why, offering alternatives that you’ll love even more. Also, Dan and Mimi know about all sorts of suppliers around the city that offer any type of material or furnishing you are seeking (granite, fabric, lights, chairs, etc). They specialize in «amazing finds.»
Dan and Mimi did the flowers and décor at my wedding this fall. It was my second time around, so I wanted sophistication, not hearts and ruffles. They made the event picture-​perfect, managing every detail from tinting the frosting on the cake to match my color scheme to finding an elegant way to «bridge» the summer and fall seasons in my flowers and décor. The flowers chosen for the bouquets, table arrangements and corsages were not just perfect, but «personal.» My Irish heritage was honored with bells of Ireland, in my hair were the same white flowers that my mom had in her bridal bouquet. Made me cry.
