My 11-​year old son has beautiful but difficult hair — lots of thick, wavy (cowlicky) hair that he wants to keep longer. He’s been to a few local salons and we explained what he wanted but his hair has not turned out well. We tried Kim on the strength of her reviews and she lived up to every one of them. Kim reviewed his hair, looked at a picture of what he wants, explained why it was going to take time to get there, and listened to him and talked to him. He walked out happy with his haircut for the first time in a long time. And I’m happy, too. He doesn’t look shaggy, he’s moving towards a style, and the cut is so much better than those he’s received before. Thank you so much, Kim! We will be back.

I’ve been going to Kim for a few months now, and my hair hasn’t been this healthy in a really long time. I go every 4 weeks because of the «gift» of grey hair! She really cares about the health of your hair and gives great advice. She’s also always on time which is much appreciated too!

I moved here from LA recently and was pretty freaked out about finding a new hairdresser. Thankfully I read the reviews and booked an appointment with Kim. She’s amazing!!! Kim gave me the most natural highlights/​lowlights I’ve ever had and a cut that’s perfect for my hair type. She’s incredibly thoughtful and talented and gave me the personalized cut/​color I’ve always wanted. And then came the bill… half of what I was paying in LA! YES! Needless to say, I’ll be going back.

Only go to Kim if you want a top notch haircut without the high price. I’ve been going to a stylist in Hyde Park for years but decided that I needed someone closer. After reading the reviews on Unilocal,I decided why not? I’m so glad I went. Kim definitely knows how to cut all different types of hair (mine are the straight coarse Asian kind) and you get interesting conversation to boot.

Nothing but delighted with my haircut! I’ve always wanted a pixie cut but was often left with too much volume and length. Kim quickly brought my thick hair under control — she really knows her trade and is lovely to talk to. The shop is a airy, open space and I felt good just walking in. Excellent stylist. You know you’re going to walk out the door with an excellent cut/​color/​style what ever. She loves working with hair and it show. She is not only concerned that you look good but that your hair stays healthy. Any hair — any one — all are welcome to her studio. We wouldn’t go to anyone else.
