Did not honor the Unilocal discount or any other online discounts listed. Customer service was horrible. Nothing special about the food, your typical buffet.

Pretty decent for an Asian buffet, especially since all the other ones keep closing. The veggie sushi wasn’t super fresh, but wasn’t bad, and they had a lot of it. My husband enjoyed the regular sushi. I like that you can get your own drinks so you don’t have to wait. Wish they offered white rice though — I have to avoid soy sauce, and the only rice option they had was fried rice. The bathroom could have been cleaner, but wasn’t awful. All in all, decent for the price, and my son loved it — he loves being able to get pizza and sushi at the same time. I’m sure we’ll visit again. Not great, but not too bad, especially for the price. The workers are all very friendly — definitely the highlight of this place.

I dined here a couple of hours ago. It was pretty nice. It is pretty much self-service. Find your own seat, get your own food, get your own beverage. Nice amount of assorted food items at buffet. The Hibachi Grill was nice. Good parking. I have no complaints. Looking forward to going back. This is my 3rd Chinese buffet this year. Thus far, this is the best. I highly recommend.

Sooooo… we went to eat here on Sunday, formerly Buffet City now Hibachi Buffet and Sushi Bar, 10÷27÷13 and we requested a table. We waited a good 5 minutes. The hostess, a hispanic lady, kept trying to get us to be seated at a booth. I tell her no, we want a table. A larger family comes in. they want a table. The hostess and the family, the father I suppose, start to speak in spanish. They have a seat. Another 5 minutes go by. She again ask us if we want a booth. I say no, again. A table becomes available and they’re seated first. I stop her, before she seats them and say, we were here first, we should be seated first. Her response was that they were being seated at a larger table. The largest table in there is for six. I got up and went to the the front desk to speak with a young lady who I believe may have been management or at least in a higher position than the hostess. By the time she gets up there, we’re magically seated at a table. I have a problem with that. First come first serve should mean exactly that. They didn’t have reservations or they wouldn’t have been sitting out there waiting with us. I really felt this happened due to race similarities and nothing else. All customers should be treated equally, no matter what their ethnic background. In the end of it all, my money was green and so was there’s. The customer service was not the up to par. The food was decent.

This is the new Hibachi Grill & Sushi Buffet. You get good food and a lot to chose from for only $ 8 for lunch and that includes drinks.

This place has changed names, but the Pulaski location claims it’s still owned by the same people. As for my visit, I arrived shortly after 3pm and was charged for dinner price at the exact moment their world stands still. Although lunch is officially over, nothing changes unless u count leftovers getting older. Instead, the ENTIRE staff except for the cashier grabs a plate and a chair for their mass disregard of customers. Maybe it’s due to bad timing on my part, or maybe management is content ripping people off for an hour or so each day. When I paid, the cashier told me they would be changing to the dinner buffet immediately. Over 10 minutes passed and it became obvious the only thing changing was the time of day. Whatever, after she waddled back to the register I got my money back and gladly left.

This place is now renamed Hibachi Grill and I attended an event that can only be described as wedding-like here where the entire back room was rented out for about 200 people. The food was pretty decent with a large variety with seafood of fish, crab, shrimp, sushi, and quite a bit of fried foods, as well, including some Asian dishes, as well. One thing that I do wish that they had was some beer to wash down the greasiness of all the fried foods.

Come for the all you can eat buffet, stay for the… well nothing really. I had an impromptu meal here today and it pretty much below average in almost every way. Before today I dinned here before, but it was so mediocre the only thing I remember was the fountain inside the place. Today I realized why I haven’t been here in seven years. It’s really horrible. In all fairness you can’t expect much from a restaurant named Buffet City, but geez Louise is this place bad. The sushi bar looked extremely miserable and most of it was picked over or smushed. It also was very bland. The main area looked a little better, but there wasn’t a regular rotation of food. If something was empty, it stayed empty. If something was full, there was more food thrown on top. All the food was bland for generic buffet food. The dessert island was abysmal. I possibly ate the worst carrot cake in the western hemisphere. The ice cream was served in little prepackaged cups akin to a children’s birthday party. The ice cream had little to no taste and had appeared to have gone bad. Once again most of it was picked over. I should add that we ate at 5PM and there was no crowd. Lastly, the drink station smelled like stale mop water. Mainly because there was a bucket with a towel floating in rust colored water. Actually I’m not sure if it was still water at that point.

Can you say awful? Thought maybe the place had new owners due to the name change, so I gave it a try. Big $ 25 mistake. Terrible food and lousy service. Waitress finally took our drink orders 15 minutes into our dinner… and she brought wrong items. Never came back so, we got stuck drinking what we had. which we needed to wash down the greasy, not fresh, mock Chinese food. Avoid at all costs.

How can(for the most part) Chinese people be successful at running non buffet chinese joints, but when it comes to Chinese BUFFETS… THEY — UTTERLY — FAIL — MISERABLY. Now, this isnt the first chinese buffet Ive been to(though the first Ive been to in about 20 years) My wife told me they sucked, but since they changed their name to Hibachi Grill and Sushi, I thought(or think) they may be under new management? Anyway…had a coupon for a $ 5.99 lunch buffet figuring even if it does suck its only $ 12 and change lost. Aside from the beef spare ribs, which were okay, EVERYTHING I tried was either, A. Tasteless or B. Horrible. Egg foo Yung, burnt and the gravy was gag inducing. Beef and pepper… tuff, the fried rice was beyond terrible and foul tasting. how could you fubar cold peel and eat shrimp? They did. Had an overly salted gummy taste… yech. Orange chicken… dried…no white meat chicked on any chicken dish to be found. The Hibachi grill while always having a long line was dirty looking. I placed about 5 different pieces of sushi on my dish and proceeded to gag and spit each bite out. None of it was labeled to let you know what you were eating. For that matter, when there were labels over the other foods, they were often mislabled with the correct food item being one or two trays over. The sushi that is sold in packages at Jewel AREBETTER and I figured this would be better or at least the same. The rice was horrid, non sweet, icky… again, how in the world can a chinese person NOTMAKEGOODRICE? I could get a pack of Knorr or Lipton Fried Rice at the store and it would be better! The poor sushi dude standing there rolling this garbage looked glum. as if I could read his mind and he was thinking, «Why the hell hasnt Chi Tung responded to my resume? The desert section was horrendous as well… dried out reject looking pastries from some old polish or mexican bakery… All in all, unless your palate runs to having shit tastebuds(you will know this by thinking this place is better then say a Chi Tung) and if you like Chi Tung AND this place then basically its what I call a dogs tastebuds… ie, you could give a dog something sweet and tastey and it will happily eat it… but yet if they ever barf, they will eat that as well… go figure.

Ahhhh grossssss… Every year my family and family friends host an all day event here around the Lunar New Year. I prefer coming with a full stomach. The food is tasteless and none of their fruit is never sweet. I’ll never come here voluntarily.

**** PLEASENOTE*** This place is now called«Hibachi Grill and Sushi Buffet» as of my visit about two weeks ago. I have been to plenty of buffets and can honestly say that this buffet left me pretty dissappointed. I thought that a new name(not sure if it is new ownership) would have this place on it’s toes. I was wrong! Now I do not want to completely bash this place because it has some good qualities. Such as the staff, whom were very nice and very helpful. Although, the night we were there, they seemed to be understaffed and were sparsely situated, which made it difficult for them to keep up with the continuous flow of plates and cups. The food is why I was here, so let me get to the good stuff. This place has a pretty decent selection of sushi which is prepared fresh and replenished frequently. So I can’t say I am an expert on sushi, because i tend to like meat and potatoes over foods that are more appetizer-like, but the california roll and tuna roll were quite tasty. Chinese fried rice, eggrolls, and orange chicken were average but seemed to be refilled pretty consistently and didn’t get to the dried out point. The Mexican fare was more like tacobell and seemed to lack any real authentic flavor. I would definitely recommend to take a pass on the Mexican-ish food. They did have some good chicken wings and crispy fries. The salad bar was not very exetensive and I took a pass on the limp greens. The hibachi grill was my biggest let down. I was excited to see real chicken, shrimp, and actual steaks. There was a nice selection of veggies and spices available to add to your plate. The main thing that let me down was the cleanliness of the grill area. It looked like if it hadn’t been properly cleaned in weeks, the plexiglass was greasy and cloudy and the counter was sticky and greasy as well. BIGTURNOFF!!! Bad thing, is that I did not notice the unkept grill until the line had progressed, by the time my food was ready. I took my steak and veggies and crossed my fingers that I wouldn’t pay for this later. Too bad, because the steak was decent, by buffet standards and the veggies and sauce were a great compliment. Oh and I didn’t get sick this time, but I guess I was lucky! All in all, I would be willing to give this place another shot, but they need to get that grill area cleaned up, and add a few more workers during peak hours to keep the tables clean.

All of the fruit(watermelon, kiwi, strawberries, and pineapple) was spoiled. The meat at the Hibachi grill looked rotten. No idea what the mushy stuff was on the midway roll but it looked like pink vomit. Egg rolls were stuck to the bottom of the pan. In the hour we were there not one new item was brought out. And it was only 8:00 in the evening. Saddest thing was the lonely goldfish swimming around in the«wishing pool» with no filtration, plastic spoons, and white slime that looked like saliva. I’m done there.

okay food but to pricey. Not worth the $$ in my opinion and the ppl here aren’t the friendliest. Plus they don’t have the fountain drink machines out in the open so u wait for a waitress to refill ur drink which is a job they suck at. Nvr got my refill and was super thirsty. Def going to chitung nxt time.

Location is in a plaza next to Dominicks. This place will accommodate large and small parties. They have rooms for both, as well is for individuals. Wait to be seated when you walk in. I would recommend that after seeing your seat, don’t bother sitting. Tell your waitir what you want to drunk right away, and then get your food. Otherwise you could end up waiting to get your drink during your feast. They have a large selection of food here and you are not stuck with what they have premade. You could also got to the back and create you’re meal that they can cook for you. Most of the time the people that go back there are people that get steak made. At the back right wall is the sushi bar, it’s not a lot of sushi selection but enough to fill your craving for sushi. My suggestion is to try a small portion of everything fist if you dont know whats there and then go back and get a ton of what you liked. Feel free to call your waiter out load as sometime they will not come to you unless you wave them down. 4 stars for great food but I feel there’s something else they could do to make the experience better.

This place is huge! 4 dinning areas to chose from. The fresh made sushi bar is very good. Very busy which is nice as it keeps the food fresh. Shrimp, beef, chicken hibachi grill in the back. As you walk in you will see a large wishing well /fountain and by the amount of coins all kinds of wishes have been made here. Very nice salad and fruit bar. Lots of standard Chinese buffet items. I liked the Sushi and walnut shrimp. Breaded Cod was very good as well.

I have mixed opinions about this place. The good thing is that they have a wide variety of foods here, from american, mexican, and chinese. And that is about it for the good. A few bad things however. It seems that the food is luke warm at best, most of the food is down right cold. The people working there are not the friendliest. It costs about thirty bucks for two people with soft drinks. They shut down completely between lunch and dinner while they switch the food items. Even though they will take your money late at night, don’t expect them to bring any fresh food out, just eat from the pickings left.

The mere mention of going to a Chinese Buffet is enough to make me head for the hills. I always try to avoid going, so much so that my husband who loves them for the seafood reminded me that if I wiggled my way out of it again, it would be the fourth time in recent months. The excuse I tried the other night was, it’s late they’re closing soon and they won’t have much out and it will suck. Well half true, they had more out than I expected, but I don’t fault them on that note, you have to wrap it up at some point. As far as that other thing, no it didn’t it actually was very good. The only reason why I even gave this place a try was two people on my friends list that I’ve actually met and know they are a pretty good judge of food and what clean means, one put in his review that you can almost eat off the floors. This was true even an hour before closing, which most buffets look trashed by then. There is an ample selection of all sorts salads, soups(three kinds), veggies, chicken, fried rice, crab legs, all sorts of seafood, on and on. They also had fruit, cake, ice cream for dessert. And for the oh so picky kiddos they had a station with tacos and in another area with pizza, chicken nuggets, onion rings, mac & cheese. This is good because the last thing you need to do is go to a family place and have the kids not eat because it looks icky to them. Not only will I go back, I will do it willingly without making excuses not to. My guess is that it’s family run, which is a plus and the service was very friendly, from when we walked in and asked can we see what’s left to when we left and they said goodnight and thanked us for coming in.
