By far the BEST chili burger I’ve ever eaten in the 9 yrs we’ve lived in the Carolinas!!! The chili was super tasty! Burger cooked to order, juicy but not pink.(PERFECT) exact right ratio of chili to mustard. Onions. Honestly I may never eat another until I can come here again!!! Don’t even need the sides!!! Lol DELISH! Super busy. And our waitress was running steady and she never dropped her smile. Friendly. Clean. Wish we weren’t leaving tomorrow!

The perfect place for a simple breakfast!!! This was exactly the type of restaurant my wife and I were looking for. The eggs were copied perfect and the hashbrowns were a step above most. I got the liver mush and it was cooked perfect as well. Food came out fast and the service was excellent. If you are in there mood for a simple and perfectly cooked breakfast, then this is your spot. Also, the décor is interesting. An asian influence on the decoration choices gives this down home country grill a unique twist.

Great Western omelet. Staff was friendly and helpful. We ate at the bar which was a lot of fun because we go to watch Little Bit in action at the grill. She is amazing! Can’t wait to go back again. But be hungry when you go. Portions are HUGE!

Glad I read previous reviews about the size of the burgers. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger(small.) Burger was a fresh made patty, the bacon was crisp. I had them add chili to my burger, and I assume it was the canned stuff from a grocery store –nothing wrong with that, but it was easy to tell it wasn’t made on premise. Fries were typical as anyplace would serve. Décor is Asian wall hangings, which seems a little odd for a burger place. To each his(or her) own I suppose. The server was friendly, so I guess I avoided the persons other reviewers warned about. Better than average burger.

The burgers are huge, and quite good. It was super clean(which I’m a super fan of!!!) and the server was good. It was a basic, simple menu with good burgers. The fries I wouldn’t pay extra for again, or the onion rings, neither of those were anything impressive.

The super-clean dining room and old-school food make it worth eating here every time! They have fried bologna sandwiches!

You’re gonna get a Lotta Bit at Little Bit’s. You might even kill a vampire or two. Seriously… these are some of the largest burgers I have ever laid eyes on. Even what they call a small would be the largest burger in the house at any other burger joint. Me not knowing this… ordered the large, and it was so massive I had to go fork and knife on that son-beach. Guess I should have checked Unilocal first before assuming all the giant burgers I saw on other tables on the way in were larges, when in fact they were smalls. None of this is a bad thing. Here is the bad thing… at least for me. I am a garlic lover. I generally love garlic-laced stuff. In this case, there was soooo much garlic salt on the burger, it was all I could taste. The burger did not need it in my estimation… it probably would have stood as a decent burger with just some salt, black pepper, and maybe a touch of garlic salt… but as it stood, I could see how much was caked on. The bacon and cheese topping did nothing to hide it, it was all garlic, all the time. The fries were good and crispy, but nothing special, just fries cooked golden. Thumps up. My sweet tea was good, and thats a good thing, because I needed it to hide all that garlic. Service was neither good nor poor. The building is definitely a bit of a dive… but seemed clean enough to me. Some people really seem to like it, and I will admit to being a burger snob, so take my word at that value. In my book, either less garlic salt, or maybe using minced garlic mixed directly in the meat would be a better approach. I’d go back, and order a small, and hope that mine just got too much spilled on it.

Loved the burgers!!! Classic hole in the wall burger joint. I had a «small» burger — but it was anything but small! I got a bacon cheeseburger with slaw and chili! So good. Wish they had better sides — it would take this place to the next level. Fries are fat crinkle cut and onion rings are frozen, not fresh.

This is not the best burger in town! Below average food. Crappy attitudes. If you want a great burger go where the locals go for burgers: Eric’s Grill or Provision Company. Change or Die, Little Bits…

Best handmade burgers on the beach. Love watching all the orders made fresh in a super clean kitchen. Always a packed dining room but worth the wait.

I’m not a big burger fan, but this place has the best burgers ever. I am really shocked to see negative reviews regarding the food. I live in the capitol, and I can’t find a burger as good as this. I always stop in when I’m in OI.

One star only b/c I couldn’t choose 0 stars. Burgers are garlicky. That does not make them unique or tastier. Staff is rude as hell. This place is NOT worth the hype and I will not go back. Little Bit should be more concerned about customer service so she can continue to afford her little red mercedes. Go anywhere else but do not pay these people to treat you poorly and serve you a greasy, mediocre burger.

The burgers and other items from the grill are delicious. They are usually slammed so it will often take a while to get a seat. Often the phone is off the hook so you might need to go and wait for a to go order. But the burgers are totally awesome. A small is huge!

Been coming to Oak Island to work for six years now and this is one of our favorite places to grab lunch. Best burgers on the coast and super fast service, these girls do it right. After consuming this huge hunk of meat I’ve always told myself and my wife to remind me next trip to get the small one but I always order the large :-)

I think this place has become quite the legend on Oak Island for its hamburgers, and they are good… seasoned with garlic salt. We usually drop in once or twice a season during the last 5 years we’ve owned here. There is one waitress there who is particularly helpful and friendly but the owners, mom and daughter, forget it. I’ve always wondered why people who are so openly unfriendly to people would choose to operate a business where you have to deal with customers! I would agree with a previous reviewer that the onion rings are definitely not worth ordering… no onions involved. Overall if you’re looking for a pretty tasty, greasy burger joint, you’ve found the place! But if you’re someone who wants a good burger ALONGWITH friendly service and atmosphere, you might want to keep looking.

This is the first place we stop when we come to the island and usually also the last. I have to get my burger fix — «small bacon cheeseburger, bits way». Small place and you may have to wait a bit or opt to carry out. But the burgers are hand made, spiced with garlic salt, and fresh topping all grilled and assembled right in front of you. It’s worth it!

We were looking for a quick and easy place for lunch on the last day of our vacation at Oak Island. We decided to stop in at Little Bit’s Grill. We didn’t realize that they close after lunch and it was about 3:05…five minutes after their posted closing time. We hadn’t even attempted to open the door yet and turned around, defeated. Immediately, this sweet lady opened up the door and shouted for us to come in, that they had room for two more lunches. We happily obliged her and we were not disappointed. The burgers were HUGE and juicy and the fries were crisp and crunchy… my favorite. I like their use of garlic salt to season the burgers. The employees were super friendly. They could have easily just let us go on our way, but instead were extremely warm and inviting. We will definitely revisit Little Bit’s on every trip to Oak Island.
