The best phở I’ve had in a very long time. Especially like the fact it is all natural with no MSG.

Is this our only Vietnamese food on this island? Must be… Because with any competition there’s no way this could pass. The food here is slow, pricey, and subpar… When I was eating here I felt like I was eating Phở prepaired by a child for the first time as some sort of school project: bland broth, thick chewy meat, and a sad selection of fresh herbs. There was soup in my bowl but there was no love or magic. All I’ve tried here was the phở, but based off this I’m not sure I’d want to waste time or money trying something more complicated… Looks like I’ll be making Vietnamese at home on this island.

I really enjoyed this little place being that I’m from California I had a variety of Phó spots to choose from and this little place was tasteful, they have this sauce for their spring rolls that gave my taste buds a whole lot of lovin. My daughter and i had the cgicken Phó and the broth was very good. The owner was very nice and greeted us with happiness, can’t wait to see this beauty shine.

Service is outstanding. I had Lao soup with 4 spicy. I’m impressed of all ingredients have in it. Very fresh spicies, vegetable, and meal size is proportional. Yes, the price is little high, but you get what you paid for. Everything in the kitchen are made from Thailand. Yes, it’s the passionate cooking so takes a little more time to cook but worth to wait. Give them 4 starts because of the price,

3 stars for the sweet girl who was the server. The phở is not that great though. I think it’s suppose to be a little upscale but never have I been to a phở place where fresh rolls and a soup cost 20 bucks.

I had a sudden craving for phở Sunday around noon and was extra pleased to find this place is open Sundays! It’s a small restaurant but it’s bright and open. Menu is a rather limited though. I enjoyed the fresh rolls, probably the best part of the meal. The phở was edible but not incredible, my partners saffron curry… about the same. When we arrived there was a total of one other table occupied yet I had to ask twice for my Thai iced tea and had to wait 20 min to get the check.

Yum!!! I highly recommend getting the duck curry and treat yourself to the banana strawberry crêpe. This place is one of the best places to eat in oak harbor for sure. Coming from Seattle the curry holds up!

Quite a cute place. The sign outside made me think it would be more of a subway situation but it was a quick sit down restaurant. The food is true to the way it should be made. Very delicious and authentic! I did like they had a brown rice option. I had the duck curry at a 4. So happy to have Thai that is spicy! So much better than 1−2−3 Thai. I will be coming here frequently. The young girl server is so sweet and helpful! I got some banana crepes and if it’s anything like my meal… They can take all my money.

When we first moved here, we were craving phở like no body’s business. We had this, it was good. Me have come back ~3 times so far and it’s been a horrible experience. Anyone who has had phở knows its doesn’t take long at all. The meat comes out raw and put in the soup so it cools. Now. Not us. It was cooked and cold and the bowl was barely full. Very disappointing and it took 49MINUTES! That is CRAZY for phở. Unfortunately we won’t be back and there isn’t much choice for anything else on the island.

Ugh. This is hard. I’m so inclined to give Tamayo’s 5 stars because they’re amazing for Oak Harbor standards. But I was born and raised in Hawaii and the quality of Vietnamese food there is off the charts compared to Oak Harbor. So I just can’t bring myself to give it a 5 :( Let me tell you all about the good stuff here though if you’re in Oak Harbor! Fresh pork rolls – delicious flavor and tastes really fresh. There isn’t a whole lot of pork in them but it’s enough to get some in each bite and taste it. The sauce that it comes with is sweet but has a small spice kick to it. Great balance! Phở – so good since its cold 70% of the year here. They only have a few options(no combos and no beef balls, tripe, tendon, or brisket like we have in Hawaii). The broth is tasty and they bring the usual sides of lemon, basil, and bean sprouts. You can ask for sriracha and hoisin sauce if it’s not out on the table. Saffron curry – we thought phở was our favorite until we ate this. Soooo good! My personal favorite dish here. Comes with eggplant, bamboo shoots, green beans, and your choice of pork or chicken, and a side of rice. We get the chicken. You can choose your spice level between 1 and 5. We usually get the 3 and it brings the heat without making the dish unenjoyable. Curry prawn – same as saffron curry but with shrimp lol. We wanted to try something different but oops! We prefer to stick with the regular saffron one. Food isn’t the quickest but they make everything to order and I don’t think it’s a big kitchen with many staff. I get the feeling it’s just one passionate cook back there by themselves sometimes. Also I don’t think they have table numbers so every single time we’ve been there we have seen food being delivered to the wrong table lol. No big deal though. Customer service here is always great. Especially the man who serves the tables… he’s so welcoming and really tries to remember all the customers. His kindness is so genuine and he’s what helps make this place a «will be back» spot.

Food is awesome. Started with the pork fresh rolls… The pork in them is so delicious… All the veggies inside were so crisp & tasty. I got the Pad See Ew with the beef. It was very flavorful & the broccoli was cooked perfect. My husband had the Saffron Curry with the beef. So delicious! He says we have a new favorite place to go now. We also tried the house made lemonade… Refreshing and not too sweet. Our server(I think is the owner. ???) took excellent care of us and also chatted with us after dinner. If you have not tried this restaurant — you are missing out on a great little gem on Pioneer Way.

Not the phở you’re used to but the soups are good. The fried spring rolls are complicated but still very good.

I’ve never had phở before. I’m so glad I had it first here! So tasty! I really liked that they give you the extra spices and noodles to add yourself. This will be a new weekly lunch for me! Thank you!

OPENONSUNDAY’S!!! I always seem to want a nice hot bowl of phở on Sunday’s and most Thai places are closed. Food was delicious & reasonably priced. Fresh rolls only come as a TWO pack and they are $ 9, our whole family wanted them and it was going to be $$$ but come to find out they are a good size and all we did was cut them into smaller pieces… two orders fed 4 adults and two childern. Thai noodle dish… AMAZING and was enough to share. Beef phở reg size was a perfect single portion

The food I ordered was good(Curry something or other)…side vegetables were fresh and the broth with the chicken pieces were good; noodles were overdone. The dish is VERY expensive. My husband ordered the hamburger(I Know!)…and it was supposed to be beef… he was not sure if it was all beef or mixed with something. Big fat cucumbers in the bun that kept falling out… and a weird sauce… does not look like the picture. Expensive~ Service was very good and the water glasses are glass!

I don’t think i have the presence of mind to write a proper, poignant 5 star review — so the 5 star rating should just stand as a clear indication that you simply will not go wrong by eating here. The menu is a wonderful blend of Vietnamese/Laotian, and you can trust that Jessie cooks up an absolutely INCREDIBLEPHO!!! The broth above anything else, is simply outstanding. Also, her fried rice(we had chicken) is honestly some of the best I’ve ever had — full, flavorful, spiced and all without being overly greasy or heavy. James, your waiter out front, is probably one of the nicest, kindest, most attentive and accommodating host/waiter you will ever encounter. He is always eager to please, or to share some conversation with you. A treat to speak with, and wonderful customer service(and attention) in the service industry that is simply not as prevalent these days. Congratulations Oak Harbor, you have truly got a real GEM hiding out here!

The food was fantastic. The crispy pork spring rolls were our favorite. We also tried the Laos Sausage, BBQ chicken, and a noodle dish I can’t remember or pronounce. :) All tasted great! I hardly ever leave reviews unless it is really great or really terrible. I had to leave a review for this place simply by the service. Our waiter was a true professional, and made us feel very welcome. I never expected the best service I ever had to be in a small Vietnamese/Laotian restaurant in Oak Harbor! You definitely need to visit!

The pork roll was fantastic and the server was super accommodating; letting me only get one since I’m traveling solo for work. I said 2 for spicy which was just enough for my weak tastebuds. Even without the delicious sauce the pork itself it flavorful along with a great mix of cilantro, cabbage, carrots, lettuce, rice noodles, and something crunchy. My beef strawberry salad was amazing, so many flavors blending together beautifully.

The best experience in customer service I had ever received. The waiter was a kind and humble man, who was genuinely eager to happily serve us. Attentive but not intrusive. He had told us about his European background and affiliation with the Yugoslavian military and he attributed his unprecedented respect for everyone he meets. Apparently, you would be severely punished if you disrespected those higher up in the chain of command. A very warm atmosphere accompanied by the waiter’s personal choice in music; symphonic classical music from Europe, ranging from Italian to French, it was very soothing and homely to hear as we enjoyed their Vietnamese cuisine. This is how most restaurants should be and I would advocate Tamayo’s to anyone.

Delicious food and very nice wait staff. We found Tamayo’s based on previous reviews, and we’re glad we stopped. It was a holiday Saturday night, so it wasn’t busy, but the food was fresh and yummy. We started with lettuce wrap pork roll-ups dipped in the vinegar-peanut sauce, and then moved to tamarind chicken and Khue Mee — a meat/noodle dish. I was hoping to find a good, basic noodle dish, and this was it! Nicely cooked, attractively served, and tasty. Prices and portions are fair, food is fresh and hot and the staff are very gracious. They have a curry that sounds delicious, as well. We’ll come again and recommend others stop by when in Oak Harbor,
