Spinnaker Tea Garden Bed and Breakfast

We spent two nights here in Sept. We stayed in the Rose room which was comfortable, attractive, and has a view of Penn Cove. The Lighthouse room is a bit bigger and has an adjoining room great for families. Juanita and Marty are welcoming and can share an insiders view of the island with their guests. The full breakfast was delicious and made mostly of local produce and ingredients. In addition to, the bedrooms guests have the use of a small sitting room with a gas fire and the breakfast room with a refrigerator and microwave. Bottled water, wine, tea, and coffee are available at all times.

I have been meaning to write this review for a while but DO NOT STAY HERE. My husband and I were supposed to stay there last August because we had a wedding to go to in Coupeville. We called because we were running late and the person running the place said that we could not check in after the wedding because it would be too late. Our friends were staying there so we said, «Can we just get the key from them?» They told us no because we were staying at someone’s house across the street and they would have to show us around. What?! This was too weird. Long story short we didn’t end up staying there. Since the whole island was booked because of a festival, we just ended up driving back to Seattle.
Furthermore my best friend was supposed to be staying there but the lady over-​booked her place. She set her up somewhere else but the cost was $ 100.00 more. The owner said that my friend would be reimbursed since she overbooked. My friend still has not seen the money to this day (it’s January now and this was August).
Lastly, another friend was supposed to stay there but they couldn’t because the water tank broke and flooded the inn. Who knows if this was true? My main point is don’t plan on staying here because your plans will be changed!
