Queen Ann Motel

It was horrible and low class… The Indian woman who owned it grilled me with non stop questions. In which I answered more then once. Yes it is just my self and 1 dog. must of repeated at least 3 times! The ice machine was not totally functional and the air conditioning was questionable. Both the owners were very un– professional… I would not recommend this to anyone accept maybe drifters, and other such individuals.
The only positive it was in expensive and clean. But there is a bar on the premises and I did not feel safe. It felt like I had to be on guard. Keep in mind these are all outside rooms and the bar is steps away. They actually had real keys. The office kind of reminded me of the Bates Motel.
It is only a few blocks from the water which was nice but it was just awful and old and needs updating big time!

My spouse and I stayed at the Queen Ann on Saturday night. Our room was better than the room we stayed at last time.
I like this place more and more not just for where it is but also for the exceptional value.
It is quiet and comfortable.
The mattress was tight as a drum and movement transfers like a trampoline but I was still able to get a good and restful sleep.
If you intend to stay here, book ahead of time. Ask for one of the rooms number 11 and higher so that you do not get direct sun on your door.

I have to start this review by saying I’ve never actually stayed a night at this motel. I do, however, have a friend that stays here often and I’m over there visiting at least once a month.
It’s ok. A decent place for the money you’ll spend. The main reason for me giving them 2 stars is because of the other people who tend to stay there. It’s one of the cheapest places in Oak Harbor, and it’s right next to all the bars, so it tends to attract heavy drinkers.
