Pisanello’s Pizza

Sitting here right now enjoying the best pizza I’ve had east of Chicago. Friendly service, order was delivery quickly, Place is very clean and well worth the stop. I ordered a 12 inch pizza with Pepperoni, Ham, Extra Cheese, and Green Olives, All the produce was fresh, the meat was great quality and good flavor. The cheese was not hard like some pizza places. A++++

Ahhh… Pisanellos. A northwest Ohio pizza chain for the smalltowns.
I used to work at the video store behind Pisanellos and would always get a small pizza or breadsticks to hold me over on those slow nights. The staff was always great to me and the pizza was always excellent. It’s higher quality in my book than the bigger chains because I’m pretty sure their dough is fresh and not frozen. I love their sauce, personally, and am always pleased by the flavor, even when I get my «boring old» pepperoni.
I’ve been told that they have an excellent white pizza, but I was not so adventurous when we lived here so I did not get anything other than red sauce. We did order stuffed crust once at the BG location and it was really good. Pizza Hut still takes the cake for stuffed crust for me, though.
The prices, I must say, are a bit steeper than Pizza Hut/​Marcos, but the quality is worth it. Ask about their coupons!!!
I love Pisanellos — it will always hold a special place in my favorite pizza places lineup.

We stopped in here as we were traveling thru town and we got a pizza and chicken parm sub. The pizza dough was medium thickness and doughy. It was very flavorful. The sub was on different bread, not traditional sub bread. My husband really liked it though. The service wasn’t the best bit we would still come back.

I was very unimpressed with this pizza and I typically like pizza from anywhere. The sauce was lacking flavor as was the pizza and cheese read in general.
