I’m not a member. I went with a member for a week. I got a 5 day pass. If you try out the gym with a passes you can get a discount for future membership. They have complimentary towels. There is a locker room but I didn’t use it. They have a vending machine if you need a sports drink. It can be busy like any other gym but I didn’t have an issue. Trainers have clients during the day. I came during off hours. The parking is limited but not bad. It’s a huge warehouse with few other businesses around. The equipment is fine but I don’t lift. I did cardio when I went(elliptical, bike, treadmill, stair master). There are 5 – 8 of each. Also don’t be a jerk and not wipe down. They have wipes everywhere. I went usually between 10 am and 3 pm M-F. 24 hr access if you are a member. They use separate door. You can’t get in on weekends unless you are already a member. As a woman, I felt safe and comfortable. I didn’t feel judged or like I was being creeped on. Maybe it’s not a concern for most but I thought I’d at least mention it.

I went in with my roommate who is currently a member at this gym. I planned on purchasing a day pass and probably becoming a member because the gym looked great(I’d upgrade from one star if I actually got to use the equipment). It’s 11:45 on a Saturday. We walk in and the girl at the counter doesn’t even look up. I walked up to the counter, stood there and had to say excuse me I’m trying to get a day pass. She rudely tells me that the register was closed and I can’t buy one while shrugging her shoulders and making a sour face. I then ask her if there are any other options or if the register was going to open again? She says no. Pretty disappointing when you get to the gym after taking your pre-workout just to be turned down with money in hand. Oh and she told me the day pass was $ 10.85. That’s bad business and I would be pretty pissed if I was a business owner knowing that my employees were just turning away money. Open the register and put the money in it so the dude can work out, seriously.

I highly recommend North End Fitness Center. The staff is very friendly and always eager to help if you have any questions. They carry a variety of supplements, protein bars, and protein drinks. There is also the option of ordering a smoothie. Although I have not used it personally, due to my lack of children, there is a childcare option available. I enjoy the atmosphere, equipment, and the facility. The locker rooms are clean and they have showers and saunas. As with any gym there are busy hours so I suggest trying out different times to find a time that works for you. I’ve never had an issue finding parking or equipment to use. I am satisfied with the variety of group classes that they offer. If you need a massage there is a wonderful massage therapist who has great rates. I wish I could give North End Fitness Center more than five stars, they deserve it!

The new-we place is really nice! The PARKINGSUCKS! I parked in a spot by the door-the only one that was available. Only to come in and be met with you better hope —-doesn’t come in she is going to be pissed, that’s reserved for her. My husband and I were going to work out later that week. He was meeting me there & called me and said there is no place to park, I am going home this is ridiculous. The equipment nice. Classes are ok. Very clique-ish not welcoming or friendly.

It sounds like previous reviews were from the old address. Northend Fitness’ new site is big and beautiful. Great equipment and classes. Lots of windows and very open. The staff is caring and helpful. I have just finished my physical therapy for knee replacement. I started going so I could strengthen my other leg before that knee is replaced. Sam and Carrie are both great.

I was a member of this gym a while back and I was not impressed. It’s one of the more expensive facilities in town with not a lot to offer. If you take one of the classes upstairs at this address it might be nice, but if you want to life weights or use a cardio machine you have to go downstairs to this dank, windowless hole. It’s dark, small, and really awful. Maybe they think the extra money is worth it because they have a sister gym across town that’s open 24 hours a day. But that one isn’t great either … a big room full of treadmills, stationary bikes, and not much else. Not worth it, in my opinion.

First off 42 dollars a month(36 for Active Duty) for a gym with typical equipment is outrageous, the facilities are open 24⁄7 so I guess they think that is worth the money. Staff doesn’t seem to ever want to be there, weights are never in the right place due to lack of attention from said staff. Why the red headed afro queen that works there hasn’t been fired is beyond me, dude is a just a drama queen. Ive never been to a gym where all I hear about is people talking smack about other people, its like working out at a high school gym. Anyways I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, sad because it could be a great place to get in shape.
