Friendly staff, very efficient. My muffler was making a noise, I brought it in and they took care of the issue. Highly recommended.

I went in to get my engine light looked at and to have my blinker light fixed. The engine light had been on a while, so it was time to have it looked at. The people here are very, very nice. However, I was told that the light was on due to the oil being low and needed to be changed. I told them that the light had been on long before my last oil change, so that wasn’t the issue, which I mentioned. They insisted I get the oil change to flush the system so that that would fix the light. Well, I got the oil change. It was way over-priced — by $ 15 from everywhere else in town — and it didn’t fix the problem. On top of that, they didn’t work on the blinker at all. So, pretty much, I got an expensive oil change and nothing was fixed. Don’t go here.

This place initially got 5 stars from me but I may have to give it 2 to 3 stars due to the issues that I had on my vehicle after I got to San Diego. Don’t get me wrong, the staff was knowledgeable and they got my car back to me in a decent time, but it seems as if they implemented a temporary solution to a more permanent problem. I own a 2007 Chevrolet Equinox that had multiple engine misfires diagnosed on it and other places couldn’t really tell me what was truly wrong with it. Yet from a recommendation from a friend, I called Midway Muffler and Tire to have my vehicle checked out. They told me to bring it in, they’d diagnose it with the Engine Scanner that they had, and would be able to tell me what the issue was. I took my vehicle in the very next day and they told me that I did have multiple engine misfires and that it was due to me having a blown out spark plug. They fixed my spark plugs, test drove it, and told me everything was good to go. Now a couple of days pass and me and my family are enroute to our new destination, San Diego California. As I’m driving my Equinox, I noticed the same issues arising. Check Engine light came on, my SUV started shaking, and the power wasn’t there. Thankfully I made it to San Diego, now I’m going to have to find a place up here and get it further diagnosed. Extra money that I have to pay for a problem that I thought was fixed. So if you go here for an engine misfire, ensure that you’re around for a couple of days to ensure that all issues are resolved. I knew that places in Oak Harbor are few and far between, but I thought that I found a sure winner with them. Unfortunately I was so wrong.
