I hired Mariner’s Haven to re-paint my sailboat inside and out and it was a huge mistake. It was expensive, slow, the craftsmanship was terrible, they didn’t perform services I paid for, and they broke and lost components of the boat. It’s been several months since the ordeal, and every time I go out on the boat I am enraged when I discover more evidence of shoddy work or things that were broken or installed improperly. Here are a few examples of their poor workmanship and complete lack of attention to detail: — Inability to follow written, illustrated, and verbal directions — Huge drips of paint that are still wet 5 months later — Painting over dirty areas instead of cleaning and sanding(which I paid for) — Skipping whole areas(which I paid for) — Painting without masking resulting in white paint all over teak and other surfaces — Numerous lost and broken parts I can say without hesitation that my experience with them was one of the worst I have ever had with a paid contractor.
