I love coming here, they are clean respectful and courteous. I’m new but they take care of me like I was always coming. That’s a nice feeling

I used to come here w/​my mother when I was younger and we loved it. I haven’t been here in years and since I moved back to the area, I thought I’d give it a shot again.
I walked in and first annoyance was it had to be at least 90 degrees inside. I was instantly sweating. No ventilation, no a/​c — nothing. I was getting a mani and pedi. My tub water was hot as can be. The lady next to me complained as well and it took over 5 mins for someone to help her and even then they acted as if she was an inconvenience; eye rolling and such.
My pedicure was extremely rushed and the lady was rude. Pulling or pushing my legs in or out of the water — instead of speaking to me.
My manicure was one of the worst experiences ever. My hands looked worse leaving then how I came in. During the process of removing the dead cuticles she was pulling and tugging so hard at my skin, creating new tore skin and leaving it. My skin and nails did not look nice at all. The polish was on my cuticles, on my skin on the side of the nail. Just bad. I’ve done better myself, with my left hand.
I just wanted to get out. Over all I would never go back. Even for free. Wasted my money and wasted my time.

Star nails is a great place, very clean, very professional, great prices. They do nails, pedicures, waxing. Very friendly always willing to stay when I run late from work.

This was the most disappointing and perfunctory pedicure I’ve ever had. Not only were my cuticles neglected (she put softener on the cuticles but never actually pushed them back), only my shins were exfoliated and massaged. Did she not see I also have calves??? Each of my big toes was cut unevenly. If I had not stopped her, she would have used a blade to remove calluses. That’s not even legal in Wisconsin, is it? Lastly, I sat for a while to dry the polish, which was applied nicely. While waiting, I observed the clean up – believe me, I’m a little concerned about germs and infections. The implements used were hand washed, the scrubber used to exfoliate calluses was rinsed in the water in which my feet still resided. Yuck! Even at $ 25, it wasn’t worth it.

My friend and I were looking for a new place to get our nails done. We were driving down 27^th street when we saw Star Nails and noticed it wasn’t busy so we thought we would try it out. It must not have been busy for a reason. I had received the WORST service. All I asked for was fake nails and colored tips. I was told they cannot do that. I tried talking to them and explaining what I wanted for almost 20 minutes, when another lady got up to pay and I noticed she had exactly what I wanted to get done. But they still insisted they cannot do that. I was far from impressed and I will make sure to tell everyone not to go there, they were extremely rude.

Decided to go for manicures with a friend. I called the day before and made an appointment for 3pm. We arrived at 240pm, but they started working on us right away. They do accept walk-​ins, but I would recommend an appointment. While we were there, three other people showed up within minutes of each other. It got busy very quickly.
The place is clean. As a woman was finishing her pedicure, I watched them thoroughly clean out the foot bath with chemicals and a scrubber. Halfway through my manicure, I decided on a pedicure.
The manicure was nice and relaxing. My polish still looks good today. Normally, I have it chipped by now.
The pedicure (my first) was complete heaven. I sat in a massaging chair and put my feet into a nice bath. The foot and calf massage was wonderful. He put a new blade on the skin shaving tool before removing the dead skin on my feet. He massaged and scrubbed my feet until they were looking beautiful.
The cost for pedicure and manicure — $ 37. What a steal for the awesome pampering they offer. I will definitely be going back.
