ISR Swim School

I had my two girls go through the ISR program when they were 2 & 4 and currently am having my twin boys (2 years old) take part. It is truly amazing the end result but it truly takes a commitment and knowing you are giving your child a skill that will last a lifetime, of course with practice! At first 3 out of my 4 kids resisted it but it did not take long for them to feel secure, especially my 4 yr old. Once they get over the hump (they are working hard thats why it is 10 minutes a day), the kids then thrive!!! My twins are doing great as well and although it will take longer than the older ones, they will get there. So my advice is trust the teacher, he is fantastic and has incredible patience! Trust yourself that your kids are in great hands and are learning an invaluable skill! The little ones will be swimmers and can do it!

I enrolled my daughter in ISR when she was 18 months (2009), a bit hesitant since I thought it was too early for a child to learn how to swim. But, because we spend a lot of time near water, I thought it would be a good idea to at least try to see if she can float. Her instructor, Aisha was just starting out in Kunia and was very good with children and patient since she’s a mother herself.
My daughter is now 3 years old, is in an advanced swimming class and loves swimming. The ISR class helped build her confidence not only in water, but in school and other areas of her development.
My son is now 18 months and just started ISR again with Aisha. He’s a much faster learner and really loves the water.
We’re already talking about getting a pool in the back yard soon!

My kids are starting week 4 of ISR Swim School and are loving it. I cannot believe how much progress they have made!
ISR is not your typical children’s swim school. The focus is on swim survival, not learning the back stroke. Children from ages 6 months (yes, 6 months!) to 6 years are taught to swim underwater with their eyes open, and float on their backs. You have got to see the videos to believe it. My daughters are ages 22 months and 4 years. Their instructor Jens is amazing. He is patient and caring and genuinely cares about your kids. He tailors the lessons to each individual child and works with them to accomplish each goal.
I am so happy that I enrolled them in these classes! I think it’s one of the best decisions I have made for my kiddos!
