Terrible lot for truckers coming in to deliver. Large pot holes and not enough turning room to safely get into dock area if you have a 53′ van.

We ordered a couch online 4 weeks ago. There was nothing listed on the specific item saying it was on back order, yet I got an email that evening saying it would be in about one week later. Ok fine. So that week comes and goes, nothing from Rothman. So I call and they say, «actually it won’t be in for another 3 weeks.» AREYOUKIDDINGME? I told them they needed to waive the delivery fee at the least or we would cancel and take our business elsewhere. They call me yesterday to set up the delivery for 12/16, so I let them know that it either needed to be early in the morning, or in the afternoon after 1. The woman on the phone said she would note that. Just got a call saying they would be delivering from 10 – 2, the exact timeframe I told them would NOTWORK. I am BEYOND livid with this company. Update: talked with Angie in customer service who was fantastic and made everything right. We were able to get our couch on the planned day.

If I could rate this dump 0 stars I would. Way overpriced. Very shady management. Treats their employees terrible! I wouldn’t give this place a dime.

Chris F was an awesome sales consultant. He took his time and got to know us. We left to go see another favorite at a different location. We went back to see Chris 5 min before closing time. He spent time with us addressing our concerns and really helping us to make a decision of which set to go with. We did not feel pressured to buy the set at Rothman. He truly made us feel as though he wanted to help us figure out which set would be best for us. He was very knowledgeable of the product we were interested in. No one in the store made us feel rushed despite being in the store 30 min past closing time. We ended up purchasing from Chris. We unfortunately ended up having issues with the set we had delivered. They were able to send a service person out to correct the first issues. Then we had more issues. They ended up replacing the set for a new set. The ONLY reason they don’t get 5 stars is the customer service people you call when you have an issue basically lied to me saying they called me back after I left a message 2 days in a row and then aprox 2 days after that the same thing happened. No need to lie and tell me you called me when I have no missed calls and no messages left. Just tell me you were busy and couldn’t get to my call.

Since my last review they did replace the chairs of equal value. The new chairs are gorgeous. You have to be very careful what you buy from here Some items are very solid and nice, others are on par with walmart. Besides that manage ment did contact us personally and take care of it and picked up busted chairs. All equal transaction.

This place is HUGE and it has a pretty good selection of furniture with variable price ranges. It’s still not as cheap as weekends only though, but admittedly their stuff doesn’t hold up as long. So if you pay $ 1,000 for a sofa vs. $ 200 you WILL notice a difference! When Sean and I went there to look for a dining room table and chairs, we were almost immediately approached by a saleswoman which was nice because at another furniture store we were ignored for a good 20 minutes I think due to our age, but I must say going as a couple seems to help a lot more than if you go solo. So if you’re young(early 20s) and you need furniture, grab someone of the opposite sex and pretend to be married. You will get served faster! Silly, but true! Anyway, we found a table we liked almost instantly. We told her we wanted to buy the table and six chairs to go with. Four standard and two arm chairs. She kept disappearing to go look stuff up on a computer, I guess to check for stock but she kept getting distracted by other customers, forgetting the SKU numbers, and kept needing to go back. We were actually OK with this because we still needed to pick out a sectional for our basement. We found one we liked and told her and she went to go look it up but of course got distracted by other customers and forgot the numbers and had to go get them again. I don’t get why she didn’t just write stuff down… odd. So we kept looking at stuff to burn time because why not? We figured we’d eventually need a coffee table and maybe an extra bed for guests. We browsed for a few more minutes and decided to go to the front to try to track down the sales woman so we could pay and schedule a delivery date and leave b/c Sean had to get to work in less than two hours… we did not expect it to take so long. Then, I saw the manager talking to our sales person. He was pointing out«a guy in an orange shirt» who hadn’t been helped yet. All the other sales people were at desks in the process of making sales so I guess she was the only free agent so to speak. Well except that she was helping us and we told her we needed to get a move on. Well it turns out this other couple was interested in the SAME exact table and chair set as us. Well… I wasn’t too worried because we got their first. And when we finally grabbed our sales woman after she was done talking to them, she said they wanted to buy the same set as us but that there wasn’t enough chairs for both parties and she’d have to special order one of the arm chairs. And she claiiiimed these people were«here all along» and«got here before you guys did.» Uhh, excuse me? They OBVIOUSLY walked in after us. I was so pissed but I didn’t say anything more because I wanted the damn set and figured we’d just have the extra chair later because we didn’t need it ASAP. But that meant we had to drive back over there and pick it up. Oh and they forgot to tell us we needed to assemble it ourselves! Wtf. Also when we were trying to pay for our stuff she flat out ignored us and went over to sit with the other couple who got the last armchair. They couldn’t even decide if they wanted to finance vs. pay flat out and we had told her straight up we did NOT want to finance and thus avoid paperwork, frustration, etc. Wasn’t a HUGE deal in the long run but was still somewhat obnoxious. I felt like she straight up lied to us and gave the other chair to the other(much older) couple. Why are furniture stores so ageist? I mean, I know I am only 23, but Jesus. Do you want my business or not? Sean said the delivery guys were fairly cool though and nothing got damaged or scraped plus the delivery was free and it was discounted sales tax so hard to complain. Got a sectional and dining set for under $ 2,000 or so, so I guess altogether not bad. They just need better salespeople.

Never thought I’d be writing a glowing five-star review of a furniture chain, but it appears that the day has arrived. I bow down to Rothman and might not ever get furniture anywhere else. I had a totally different impression of them than what’s actually true, and this place rocks insanely hard when you need quality(but cheap) furniture. Don’t go here expecting to see a bunch of things you love… go expecting to find exactly what you’re looking for. I had a pretty hefty list and didn’t think I’d be able to find it all at one place, so I was happily surprised. I found a dark wood dining room table(with a cool bench on one side), a three piece set with a coffee table and two end tables, and a new mattress… and I got it all for under $ 1,000, including delivery! For a $ 10 fee they’re taking my old mattress away, which makes it even easier. Julie, the salesperson I worked with, was beyond helpful and patient. I think I laid on seven or eight mattresses and she checked the prices of each one. I feel like a dummy for thinking everything at Rothman was lame. That’s just not the case, and there’s much more than Lazy Boys(though they do have a very large selection if you’re in the market.) Take advantage of their sales, and make sure to ask for Julie. Can’t wait until my new stuff comes on Wednesday!
