Petro Mart

The Petro-​Mart brand is common across the St Louis /​St Charles metro area. My experience with their various locations is that the stores offer good value on gas price, relative to competitors, and a solid convenience store. The two closest to me have good fast-​food options co-​located. Several have car washes — and, that my friend, is why I’m writing specifically about this one.
I’m not a fan of the «friction-​based» washing systems (i.e. big whirling dervish columns always seem to leave a scratch or two on my car … once, my Suburban managed to catch one of the tentacles, and it apparently didn’t want to let go. I left with a small souvenir … but that’s a story for a different day). The theory is that the friction does a better job of removing the dirt, and I admit that this generally seems to be the case (scars not withstanding). HOWEVER, this location has a touchless wash system, and it even seems to work! I’m a fan. (Hence, the «Yay! I’m a fan.», 4-​star rating.
