Bella Bride

My sister and I came in with our mom to look for wedding gowns and bridesmaid dresses and had the worst experience. The owner was incredibly rude and in an overall terrible mood upon our arrival. I refused to let my mom purchase a dress and thankfully so, because we went down the road to another nearby bridal shop and had the greatest experience ever. The ladies at the other place were kind and helpful, exactly how this place should have been. Ladies, do NOT go here. Look at all of the negative reviews, I cannot express how accurate they are.

I came in to look for accessories for my bridesmaids. While there, I asked the girl at the counter if they sold petticoats to add fullness to a dress. In a flat monotone voice she replied «here at Bella Bride we believe dresses should not need any embellishment.» Taken aback by her attitude I told her that all she had to say was no. But I did tell her that her attitude right there is a big reason I didn’t buy my dress from there, or anything else for my wedding.
When I originally came in to look at dresses I didn’t care for their lack of selection and they seemed pissed that I told them I wanted to keep looking. (I’m so glad I did)
I wouldn’t recommend this place, these people are definitely in the wrong business. All miserable and pissy.

Unwelcome is how I would describe my entire experience here. Employees (owner in particular) seemed unhappy that I was «only» there to «try on», unhelpful with picking out dresses, and simply annoyed at my mere existence. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy. Keep looking ladies.

The owner of this store is beyond rude as was her assistant. Our issue was related to one bridesmaid dress that came in too small. The owner argued that said girl fell into three different sizes when she clearly needed a size 10 not an 8. She was rude to the bridesmaid blamed her for not checking her receipt for the proper measurements which wouldnt have helped anyway because at the time we didnt have a sizing chart for specified dress. The owner then said I dont see why you are upset? do you want me to get you a stick so you can hit me with it? Very disappointed with service from the owner and her assistant. If you have to buy your dress from this store make sure you know your measurements, make her show them to you, then make sure to get a sizing chart for the dress in question and make sure the size they say you need is correct based on your measurements — she claims she writes the measurements on the receipt for proof but she never told the girls what this was for and why she did it until this altercation happened. The original dress ordered would have NEVER fit this bridesmaid based on her measurements — in a nutshell they deliberately ordered the dress too small.

My encounter with Bella Bride was equally disappointing. Her assistant was absolutely the rudest person I have ever dealt with in retail. All she did was talk back to me with attitude and gave me numerous dirty looks, while I commented on my best friends wedding dress that came in too small and didn’t fit. She claims the bride asked for a smaller size then the sample size since she was going to lose weight. What sane wedding shop owner would encourage their customers to buy a smaller size because they «think» they are going to lose weight!!! Of course when we ordered our bridesmaids dresses, 2 out of 3 of them were too small. When asked what could be done, the assistant told her to go on a crash diet! If anyone ever asks me about Bella Bride I will make sure the run from there.

My fiancée’s wedding dress as well as bridesmaid dresses were purchased here. We are also renting our tuxes from Jim’s Formalwear here. If I had to do it again, I wouldn’t. The owner is one of the rudest business people I have ever encountered. On three separate occasions she has insulted my fiancé, a groomsmen and my sister with rude statements ranging from insulting the city one lived in, calling one fat and being shocked that another had the education she has.
In addition, one of the bridesmaid dresses had a defective zipper and had to be cut off during a fitting. The owner tried to not stand behind the product she sold and only grudgingly agreed to fix it. After all this, she still made it a point to say she felt she was doing us a favor by not charging.
Thankfully, we are done with Bella. A family member is doing alterations. I have many friends who will be getting married in the future and I understand this is a small business that survives by word of mouth. I will suggest to everyone I know to look elsewhere.
