Yo Lounge & Cafe

Do not judge a book by its cover — from the outside, you’re not sure what you’re getting into. I was skeptical. But once I went inside, all I have to say are 4 things: Lounge, Fro-​Yo, Bubble Tea and Crepes. You will come for the Fro-​Yo, but you will lounge for the Bubble Tea and Crepes. My lady and I will be returning to this haven of goodness.

I love the atmosphere. Very modern and has a party room in the back. Will definitely stop by more often and recommend

We came on a Sunday night when they were having a fun 50s themed night for their first anniversary. The owner is an art teacher at my daughter’s school and told them about it. I’m glad he did! It’s a cool self serve place with a wide variety of frozen yogurt flavors. They also have crepes, bubble tea, smoothies, and shakes. We tried a few different things and everything was delicious! The décor is really cool with purple being the main color and running along the café in different shades. The wall with the self serve yogurt machines is floor to ceiling tile in the purple theme. It really feels like a lounge with sofa like seating in the front and tv’s on the walls. There are little tables with iPads on them, where you and company can play games while having yogurt. Prices are reasonable, staff is very friendly, and café is very clean. Will DEF recommend and visit again. This is my family’s new yogurt spot!

I was CRAVING thai iced tea while I was in the area, and just walked in hoping they would have something to satisfy it. And they did! I got their thai iced tea bubble tea which was perfection, sweet but not too sweet and the exact flavor I wanted.
Service was delightful too!

Just another yogurt shop that has different flavors and a variety of toppings. They also offer crepes as well with toppings like pizza and berries. There are a few tables and sofas that have Ipads for the kids to play some games. I ordered the coconut bubble tea smoothies and it wasn’t the best I tasted. I also tried the frozen yogurt and it was pretty much standard. Usually I get the fruit toppings and I try to stay away from the candies which is just my preference. Its a nice little spot if your in the mood for some ice cream and it’s close to where we live. You just have to find off street parking, but I heard that you can park in the back of the municipal parking lot as well. Next time I might try the crepes.

This must be the closest bubble tea/​smoothie place by me and I’m so glad it’s nearby. It’s a small cute shop near by a burger joint and local mom pop dining. Parking is metered off street. Because it’s on a main road, sometimes, parking can be challenging.
The first thing I noticed walking into the shop is the colorful purple and white lounge seats, iPad tablets and tv on the wall. It’s definitely a hangout place and because there’s a school nearby, lots of high school kids stops by. The counter has all the condiments and toppings for the ice cream/​frozen yogurt. There’s a few more tv on the wall nearby the ice cream machines.
Besides ice cream and bubble tea, this place also sells power shakes and crepes. They have free wifi. If you check in on Unilocal,you’ll receive a 10% discount on your full purchase.
We ordered vanilla frozen yogurt with coconut flakes and almond toppings, taro smoothie with tapioca and coconut smoothie with fruit jelly. It was good and satisfied our sweet tooth after dinner.

As soon as I walked in the energy in the room was positive. The owners were friendly and helpful! I would hands down spend my money to help a local business then a franchise. It’s your typical frozen yogurt spot with toppings (although this place has a lot of more options then the other froyo spots I’ve been to). Got into small talk with the owners and they seem like genuinely nice people. They said goodbye to us as we walked out, I will definitely be returning here!

Amazing. The service is great. The yogurts are great. The crepes are absolutely delicious! I mainly come here for the bubble tea though. This frozen yogurt spot has alot to offer def a place everyone should check out !!

I must say that I have been to other froyo lounges before and the froyo is pretty much the same but the people here make a huge difference! The owners are great people, the staff is great. Crepes, froyo with all the goodie toppings (coconut is my fave!), ice cream sandwiches, «Yo-​cakes», bubble teas, expresso soup of the day… I think they’ll make anything for you lol I just had the Christmas Coquito froyo which was delicious. Had seconds!
I try to be there at least once a week… i try!

It’s a travesty that if customers are honest the business suffers immensely for anything less than five stars. This was a quality business. They had football on at least five flat screen TVs. They offer 5% discount each for Facebook and Instagram promotion. The staff was friendly. I just wasn’t impressed with the yogurt. It was mediocre and I would go back again. Just being honest for the benefit of others.

Clean and organized for sure. Lots of flavors that they’re constantly changing for froyo. There’s also a great variety of toppings to chose from. Aside from froyo, they make decent bubble tea. I recommend doing a Taro/​Almond mix.

I went there before the management change, and my review is based on pre-​June 2015 times.
Wide variety of froyo flavors and toppings, from the typical coconuts, pineapples, vanillas to birthday cake and other strange concoctions. Of course the toppings make the froyo, and this place had tapioca bubbles in all the colors of the rainbow, every candy imaginable (snickers, oreos, butterfingers, regular chocolate, etc), glazed walnuts so you can pretend you’re eating healthy, coconut pieces, and more. Prices are decent — I think my full small cup came out to like $ 7 or 8. Parking in Nutley is typically street.
This place also has iPads! My group did not use them but if you’re going with kids, it’s a great way to keep them entertained while the parents/​older relatives chat.
I’ve been here with family, friend groups, one friend. Does not disappoint.

I wish I could give this place –10 stars, but my review is solely based on service because the service is so bad, that I have only tried their product once in the 4 times that I have gone. I only go because my best friend loves bubble tea and this is the closest bubble tea shop around. In 3 out of 4 times that I have gone and ATTEMPTED to order, they will take my friend’s order first and ONLY, then turn around and start doing something else. However because I heard there was a change of management, I assumed the staff would be new so I gave them another try. Boy was I wrong… The last time I went, two girls were up front, one took my friend’s order while the other started making the crêpe. The one who took the order then proceeded to do nothing… She grabbed a notebook, looked around, put the book down, started cleaning a little bit. Excuse me? I was clearly standing in front of the register for over 5 minutes waiting for her to take my order. If you go to this place with a group of people, do they think only the first person who orders counts? Change of management or not, I would rather never taste bubble tea again in my life than set foot in this facility. Staff is incompetent and incapable of delivering half-​decent customer service.

Yo Lounge is a wonderful family friendly place. Their yogurts are tasty. My kids love their ice cream plus all the fun toppings. But… For someone like me, looking for a guilt free treat, I recommend the red velvet low-​fat yogurt and add some fresh fruit. My kids love to hangout here as they get to watch the screens and play with their iPads while we sit on the lounge chairs. The managers are really friendly and they make us all feel at home. We’re making this our new ice cream spot.

Love this Place. Great Service. Awesome yogurt and toppings. And the Nutella Bannanza crepes along with a cappuccino makes it a perfect combination! I totally recommend this place. A Clean Family oriented nice place to hang out! The new management are very friendly!!!

Best place to chill and hang-​out with friends and family. Most important the yogurt and crepes are amazing also have to include the bubble tea!

I had a very nice experience! The crepes were delicious and there were plenty yogurt choices to choose from. I will definitely come back for the bubble tea!

Ever since management changed, service has changed. They forgot about our bubble tea order and by the time we checked on the order, they ran out of tapioca. Too bad, we used to love going to this place. Maybe we’ll give it another try.
