Applebee’s

Went to pick up a carryout which was supposed to be ready at a certain time and ended up waiting an extra fifteen minutes. It took approximately five minutes just to be greeted at the bar to let them know I was there for a pick up. The girls at the door were nice however I work as a server so I could understand my order not being ready if they were busy however it was not busy enough that there should be a delay in my food. I have yet to get a great meal here hopefully when I get home to get it this time it will have been worth the wait.

We went here multiple times as wife likes applebee’s I general. The 2 for 20 package is really what we generally order. The price may have increased little more recently. Although the food seems tasty to me they put cook with too much oil, perhaps to expedite the cooking. Ambience is good.

Honestly the service is terrible here. I’d give ZERO stars if I could… sat 10 min before the waiter came even though there’s only 3 tables he’s tending to. The food took 25+ min to make an appearance just to have it end up being cold so we sent it back. It took another 18 min to see those entrees (& no, none of us had steak!) I got the 4 cheese macaroni which was probably the only highlight of the whole experience. & the waiter was friendly. just wish he had more skill because there is absolutely no reason to have someone waiting that long for some mediocre entrees. PICK A DIFFERENT RESTAURANT!

We were served food with no silverware. When we asked for silverware the waitress said they were out. A resteraunt OUT OF SILVERWARE! She seemed very unconcerned and unapologetic about the matter, leading me to believe this must be a common occurrence at this Applebee’s. To make matters worse, she never brought any silverware or came back to check if we got any. I was forced to scavage silverware from the bar.

Have the 2 for $ 25 special. Appetizer was spinach artichoke dip, one entrée was the Bourbon Steak, the other was chicken and shrimp bourbon. Service was excellent the meals delicious and my steak was served as I ordered it — rare. Enjoyable night.

Love coming in here manager really knows how to stay on top of things. She does a great job. service was good food is always good

Eh it was just ok today. Service was a bit slow. Unilocaled and got a free appetizer. That was cool.

The food was good but the waitress was very rude. Her name was Nicole O. She even charged my credit card instead of using the gift card! I told her the issue and her response was «it’s not my problem». She also used the f word multiple times! Applebee’s in Novi, Michigan will never receive my families service again!

I had an acquaintance in my IT program that worked in their kitchen. He told me a lot of their food is frozen and quickly reheated before serving. I can’t personally confirm but I also have no reason to think he’s a liar. That said, sometimes the family drags me down; it feels like dealing with Applebees is an inevitable outcome in life.
Their service has gotten better over the years, as it was horrendous a decade ago but reasonable modern day. The apple crisp app is a highlight of the restaurant, although very unhealthy. Their chicken fingers aren’t notable. Their pasta isn’t worth your money. They had a green menu, something like under 500 calories, and the pasta dish, some kind of shrimp littered with nuts in this tangy sauce, was too difficult to stomach. I’d recommend not blowing a lot of money on their pricier steaks because again, I’ve heard (and what I’ve tasted coincides) that they’re freezing this meat and quickly reheating it. I’ve had their cheaper, smaller cuts of steak and it was alright but with Outback right down the road, why settle for that? I’ve cooked steak from Costco and that steak turned out better than Applebee’s.
According to Unilocal,2 stars is «Meh. I’ve experienced better.» and that’s my sentiment with Applebee’s. They *are* consistent in their delivery as far as I can tell and there is an intrinsic value to that sentiment. But you can do better for your money, or so I’d argue. They have these desert cups that are delicious but incredibly small for the money you’re dropping. Dairy Queen is maybe a 4 minute drive down Wixom, take the right on Poniac, it’ll be right there. You’ll get far more bang for your buck there. Applebee’s offers this *very* family friendly atmosphere while Outback’s atmosphere is more neutral. That’s the main draw for Applebee’s. My family is very religious and I think that’s what draws them in time and time again. Their menu is large and they miss the mark on their meals as a result. It’s not awful by and large but I have experienced better. Wixom has a lot to offer you.

Good hamburgers I’ve had them all and there all good. i would not recommend dessert there two small they need to bring back Apple crisp.

We’ve had consistently good service at this location. Rarely a wait to be seated, and the service has always been good. Wide food selection with a new menu and some new choices. Food is good, not amazing, but consistent. Convenient location too.

I Come here when Im in Novi every time to feed the family. Kids love it, prices are good, and the service is very inviting. The food comes out fast. Love this place!

So I decided to finally visit Applebee’s on my lunch break. Walked in and there was no hostess. All of the waitresses kept looking over at me and just kept waiting tables. Finally after about 5 min of waiting a hostess came over and seated me. I ordered the new Thai shrimp salad. So excited to try this salad and the chili line dressing.
The waitress was very nice and fast and the salad tasted great! The dressing was a little too spicy for me but I ate it.
Honestly… 15 min after I got back from my lunch break my stomach started killing me! The worst pain ever. I received food poisoning from a salad. Completely shocked!
How does one obtain food poisoning from a salad. Was the shrimp not done? The lettuce contaminated?
Low and behold my friend went to a different Applebee’s and got a completely different salad and received food poisoning as well.
Beware!!! Applebee’s had some type of contamination with there salads. Either they are cross contaminating the lettuce or the meat is not done. Either way I will never in life go back to an Applebee’s and I suggest to everyone I know to never go. These chain restaurants are clearly not taking cleanliness into account. The fact that I went to this Applebee’s and my friend went to a completely different one and we both got sick from a salad says something about the chain.

Pretty efficient kitchen, our app delivered promptly, the meals right after the server took the plates used for the app. The food was average overall, but better than most for the price. The two for $ 25 deal was a good deal. We didn’t want to sit, and was out under an hour.

Some awesome wait staff and good reasonable food. Cold beer is a definate plus! Come here once a month or so with my mom =)

My husband and I love comeing here when ever we can. They are very good to us here always check on us to see how we are doing. If I could come here ever week I would best Applebee’s in town

Went on a Monday evening for the Napa Chicken and Portabello’s while my guest had steak.
My Napa Chicken looked nothing like the picture. The plate looked sad. I think it is false advertising. There was a very small chicken breast that was overcooked and the portabello mushrooms were missing. The «crispy» potatoes were dark brown crunchy way over cooked. The other vegetables were sparse and sad looking.
I ended up spending $ 40 when the bill and tip was added up. NOT worth it.
Felt very ripped off. Will not return.
I don’t understand how restaurants get away with serving plates like that. It was not acceptable at all.

Thanks Applebee’s. When I checked in lo and behold there was a free appetizer — cheese sticks. They were magnificent. But, when I showed the manager the app on Unilocal she had no idea what it was. But, she did honor the free appetizer! So, there were 3 of us and we were seated right away at a table that I picked — Yay! We were waiting on one of my girlfriends so the manager put the free appetizer in to the kitchen. Received them and started munching on them. Very very tasty. My other friend finally got there and so we decided to order our lunches! I got a chicken chopped salad and a cup of coffee. One of the other friends got a shrimp salad and the other friend ordered a crock of the French onion soup. There were no complaints whatsoever. As a matter of fact I couldn’t finish all of my salad so my friend who had the soup decided she had room enough so she finished it.
My other friend decided she wanted dessert. So, she wanted a hot fudge sundae with some of the chocolate moose in it. The waiter said he would have to double charge her. Why, I don’t know. But the manager knew I was going to be UnilocalING, so out came the hot fudge sundae with some chocolate moose in it. My friend was very very happy.
All in all we had a nice time at Applebee’s. This particular restaurant seemed very clean and the staff was very nice.
