The Washette

She’s the best because she really goes out of her way to caters to your needs. All you have to do is explain to her how you like your clothes to be washed or ironed and she will make sure the outcome is exact.

I love this family owned business here in Novato. I have nothing but men at home — love them to death but they are not a lot of help in the laundry department. Sometimes I just get overwhelmed and that is when I take the pile waiting to engulf me off my laundry room floor, put it in a big trash bag and haul it off to the Washette.
Recently my son was home from college. I was adamant I was not going to do his laundry but after a couple of weeks of closing his bedroom door I couldn’t take it any more. I took the laundry down to the Washette and sent him a text pic of the receipt. He got it the next day. He had clothes and I could see the floor again. It was a win-​win.
One thing is I ask for extra softener because the clothes can come out a bit stiff — she probably doesn’t put it in usually because some people are sensitive to it, but I use it at home so we like our laundry on the soft side.
The Washette is a life saver!

I admit it’s a bit expensive but she does such a great job! When you really think about it, I am a renter and do not own a washer/​dryer and with the coin laundry prices in Marin being so hilariously high, she’s not all that expensive. I like to hang my crew neck shirts, not fold them but she is such an amazingly precise folder that i just take them home, throw them on a hanger and her folds hang out of them right away, good to go. She gets crazy stains out, all you could ask for and hell what’s wrong with a little pampering! I don’t take ALL my laundry here, I used to just take her a batch when I was busy but like I said, she does such a great job I keep finding more and more excuses to take it to her!

I take my laundry in to Nouy (pronounced Newy) every two weeks. She washes and folds all our clothes, pairs our socks and hangs my uniforms. She takes extra special care of our clothes and I cannot tell you what a DREAM it is to have someone else do our laundry for me. All I have to do is bring it home and put it away. It’s such a chore for a family of four. She has made such a difference in my life! (Yes, I hate laundry THAT much).
