Who knew. Great neighborhood bar and grill with fantastic food. We had the ribs, Caesar salads and burgers. All were exceptional.

Love love love it. Small with a great atmosphere. The chipotle chicken sandwich with that grilled cheese…

The female bartenders are great, everything on tap, average food, occasionally douchey crowd.

Great little hole in the wall located in a small strip mall just a hop skip and a jump from highway 101 in Novato. For Monday Night football, they have a burger, beer and fries for only $ 10. Their late night happy hour goes from 9:30pm to 11pm. All of their appetizers are half price during that time. The beers on tap are also $ 2 off.

I read the review in the I.J. and, with a good friend, decided to try it at lunchtime today. It’s a lovely place — quite a bit noisy — but the service is not yet up to par.
A pretty young lady waited on us but didn’t have the answers to many of our questions. We realized she was new but she hadn’t yet been educated by the managerial staff. We both had their burger which was big, juicy and delicious. But, the waitress wasn’t sure if we could have our burgers medium-​rare; she told them that their burgers were all well done. She was wrong.
Realizing that this was a rather new place and owned by an experienced restaurant man, he should instruct his staff on the ins and outs of what they are serving. Also, the waitress never came back to find out «is everything all right?» or «do you need anything else?» or point out where and what the condiments were.
We noticed other customers, who had finished their lunches, waiting for their checks. It took us a long time to get ours. Again, this is due to not being told what to do.
Other than the above, Speakeasy is a great place. If you’re a sports fan, no matter what sport, this is the place for you. And the prices are right for what you get. We were both impressed with their menu and what’s available. We suggest that you go, but take a long moment to study their menu — it’s a big one.
In the newspaper review, it said that the sound was toned down so that you could carry on a conversation. Not true. It was blasting at lunch time and at a time when nothing terribly important was on the air.
One last thing. Upon entering, it would be nice to have someone help in seating their customers rather than trying to find a place by yourselves.
We wish them well and do suggest you give Speakeasy a try and you’ll be convinced that it’s going to be a wonderful restaurant destination. We’re going back.

Solid sports bar, I like the beer they have on tap. And they seem to have some good food options for snacking while enjoying your drinks. I can recommend the corndogs!
Half off appetizers during their happy hour, and they have a really good Burger and Beer deal when football games are on.
It’s a small place, which can fill up quickly if there is a game on. Come in earlier to secure your spot.

Best sports bar in Novato! I love this place. It is a smaller bar but the food and wine selection is amazing. Plenty of big screen tv’s with every sport on. The staff is very friendly and the service is great. It is definitely my go to bar!

Wow. Legitimately one of the best burgers, fries or homemade bbq sauces I have ever had. I will be back often!

This bar came highly recommended for food and drinks. The reviews have been 4and 5 stars. The owner decided to simplify the food preparation, closed and reopened. The outcome, a burger that’s just about the same as In and Out for double the price. No you can’t get it cooked to order and the bun is all dough, the meat is average and the taste is flat. Drinks are expensive for a sports dive. Most usual liquor isn’t in stock so it’s well drinks, expensive booze or wine. If you have to go here the fried chicken hasn’t been ruined and order beer.

I like small intimate bar and the tvs. My food order wasn’t great but sometimes you have yo order the right things. I had the fried chicken. I will for sure return for the burger.

I struggled to rate this between 3 stars and 4. The location is pretty random. It’s an a suburban area, right between a gun shop and Hispanic grocery store, but somehow it works out. There are plenty of HD TVs in the bar and the staff is accommodating to changing the channel if you request it. Baseball seems to be the most popular sport watched here, followed by NFL. The food is pretty good, but I recommend sticking to the «basics» like the hamburger and fries. I tried the corn dogs a few weeks ago and they were drenched in oil, but overall tasted good. Keep in mind it’s a very small space, so you wouldn’t be able to come here comfortably with a group of more than 4 people at the very most.

Worst «sports bar» ever. Less than 5 minutes in the 4^th quarter and the game went to mute so the juke box can play. Service sacked too.

I almost want to say to not go here cause its definitely a little Gem, and wouldn’t want to wait an hour to come here and eat.
The bartender was very nice during weekly lunch, and the drink menu is great. Beers on draft, full bar etc. They make a great Moscow mule FYI.
We ordered the chicken sandwich and Burger, and they are pretty off the wall amazing. Great flavor, bun, sauces. Definitely have to get a to go bag cause its hard to chow it all down.
Only problem is I’d like to see more menu items. Especially salad wise, perhaps a cobb, southwest chicken? Maybe even some cool mixology recipes. Def will be coming back.

Great bar and amazing hamburger. This will be a regular stop! Probably the best hamburger in Marin County. What a place! Check’em out! Oh Ya, full bar and sports on TV’s. Enjoy.

Best damn bar in All of Novato!!! The people are great, the food is great! I always wanted a quality neighborhood bar!

Cool new spot in Novato to grab a burger and a beer! The Speakeasy is located in a small shopping center that I can’t recall going to much ever. There were a lot of things to choose from so I decided to go with a burger ($ 7.95) — which was HUGE. I didn’t even need the fries ($ 3.50) on the side, but I got them anyway.
Looks like they have specials like bottomless mimosas on Sundays — I tried not to look too closely at that because I could see myself doing that & then not be able to show my face around the bar for a very long time.
The place is small — a bar that seats about 10 and about 5 small tables across from it. One small, cozy area with a couch and a coffee table. I think there were 6 TV’s — more TV’s than there were tables!
I’d say for $ 7.95 the burger was bigger and a better value than the one you would get across the freeway at Super Duper. Lots of local craft brews on tap. This place is an easy «go-​to» spot to grab a lunch and catch up with friends. I will definitely be back!

Speakeasy sports bar is a cool new happening place in Novato, thank you to the genius who thought of this idea. It is small little bar, like some reviews have stated however the food is amazing and the service is great. I have been to this place a number of times and I will continue going back
Bartenders are on top of it. Only once did I wait on a beer for two min, but they were slammmmmed, anyone can be patient enough, unless they’re an alcoholic.
Servers always made sure my food was great and that my drinks were full. I really like bre the server with red hair, she is very personable and friendly. Awesome server!
Again, the food is amazing. The chipotle chicken chicken sand is the best chicken sandwhich and burger I’ve had in my life. I’ve tried almost everything on menu and only one thing I was not crazy about but it still was tasty.
With 10 beers on draft and a few in the bottle. They have a lot to offer. Wine, beer, and sports and great service…& IM IN!

Best burger I have ever had!!! And I have now had 4 of the it’s like a big Mac and In N Out had a baby! Plus lots of TV’ s for game days and an awesome selection of beer and wine and soon to have a liquor license! Bar tenders Gabe and Joe are awesome! !!!

New hot find in Novato and only $ 7 for a glass of bubbly… yes please! Really nice atmosphere, relaxed seating booths, TV’s with the game on, great beer selection, awesome service and nice bartenders. Very chill vibe — love it!

Nice beer selection, very friendly staff, and decent bar size for a small joint. Great place to catch a ball game, especially for those of us that live nearby. Food is above average quality at reasonable prices.
Downside is there are only a few tables. Likely difficult to get a table for the family, but that also contributes to an adult only environment which is cool when you don’t want the kids around :)
