i came across thai kettle at the farmers market in larkspur landing, they were giving out samples of their spices on crispy rice cakes. they are presently doing farmers markets in novato, larkspur, and the civic center. i was offered a jerky sample but i’m not a jerky kind of guy so i passed. menu: jerky, fresh springs rolls, curries and other premade sauces. entrée: freshiy made spring roll(6) green curry(6) panang curry(6) freshly made spring roll w/shrimp(not fried) –consisted of lettuce, cucumber, shrimp, carrot, rice noddle, rice wrap, cilantro, and mint. tasted very fresh. this is simliar to the cha gio found in vietnamese restaurants. spring rolls was crispy made tasty by tthe 2 accompanying acurry and sweet chile type dipping sauces. btw, shrimp had no taste and there only 3 whole shrimp in the 2 rolls. green curry-extra spicy but not overpowering. panang curry-very subltle. taste pros –all items are made from scratch, they claim –food is not too sugary nor hella hot.(is the taste«just right?») –sauces can be referigated for weeks –their food is worth checking out. cons –entrees may seem pricey. curry/sauces comes in plastic containers ala bean dip size. –donb’t know how adding meats, veggies to the mix will affeect the taste. suspect it will dilute the taste, making it bland. –i burn even boiling water so home cooking for me isn’t an option, it’s an adventure!
