Supercuts

Danielle is absolutely terrific. Consistently she gives fantastic haircuts, a daunting task when you consider the skill needed to cut my hair the way I prefer it. She’s polite, courtesy, accommodating and the only reason I go to Supercuts.

Really efficient place to go get a hair cut. Usually never have a very long wait and they’re super nice. Affordable too. Well I keep going so that alone says something right?

Two separate experiences at the Diablo Ave location and why I ever bothered to try again I do not know.
1^st experience: My son who has Cerebral Palsy and has sensory issues went to get a hair cut and we informed the very nice man (Jimmy) that he had to sit on our lap so we could calm him and hold his hands or he would flail and try to grab the scissors. He agreed (which we had always found to be the case at other kid friendly salons). The manager (I assume by the way she spoke to Jimmy) yelled at him to stop and get that child off my husbands lap. We asked why and she said it was against their policy. They were also short with our daughter, and refused to allow our 2 year old to sit on our lap so we walked out without her getting a haircut. We have since decided to cut our sons hair ourselves as that experience did damage to his fear of clippers and being touched, those who love a special needs child will understand that.
2^nd experience: I brought my daughter for a hair cut due to time crunch (they are typically fairly quick) My daughter has an A line short bob which requires her to tilt her head forward a lot. My daughter was fidgety and asking a lot of questions. The lady got a little annoyed and told my daughter, «If you don’t sit still I will have to stop cutting your hair. Supercuts wont allow me to cut the hair of people who move. I know this is an annoying hair style but this is what you wanted so now you have to stop moving.»
…excuse me?!? I now believe they look at customers (at least those with kids) as an annoyance and they go out of their way to serve though they would rather not. It is obvious that they do not enjoy working together and it is an unfriendly and miserable environment.

Worst haircut i have ever received! The older Asian guy doesnt listen to what you want and just does the only haircut he knows how to do. I have a very simple haircut…3 on the sides… trimmed up on top… squared off in the back. He used the trimmer for 98% of the haircut… digging it into my scalp over and over to the point i was wincing in pain. He used his scissors to snip the remaining hair left on my head so i could see that fall to the floor. Thats when i had enough and stopped him. It was obvious that he was a dog groomer by trade who the powers that be at that particular Super Cuts decided to hire and let him cut human hair for a change. The way he dug the trimmer into my scalp was like he was trimming sheep! Result: i am going on vacation looking like a frickin Tele Tubbie. You have been warned… even though hair grows back… its not worth your time or hard earned money to patronize this place. Plenty of other options!

Danielle gave me a good haircut today and there was no wait. Chris is also good. My hair is pretty simple to cut so I may not be the best datapoint for those with more complex needs.

Danielle cut my hair. Sort of. I got home and my wife asked what happened. Pretty bad hair cut. You get what you pay for

Kitima C. Very nice and did a great cut for my mother. She also accommodated Mom’s wheelchair. Kitima is the nicest stylist and very skilled at cutting hair. We will go back!

I can only speak to having eyebrows waxed by Kitima. She is amazing! She has a finesse with tweezers that I didn’t even know existed! She was friendly, proficient, and obviously has a lot of pride in her work. For $ 10, you can’t get any better in Novato (and I’ve paid more for less quality service).

Ask for Jimmy. He knows his stuff. Always a good cut.

This is updated review of this Supercuts is indicative of how far they have gone downhill. Their haircuts for guys are very poor quality, and they are overpriced.

Got a haircut here, and was not happy. If I ever consider going here again, please slap me. Asked for a little trim, and she cut half my hair off. didnt even care what i said, it’s like she just goes into her own mode giving a standard same haircut to everyone who comes in. Then charged me $ 18!!! I could have had someone listen to me and cared for that price… it wasnt even or anything… I had to go afterwards somewhere else and get it fixed
