Peet’s Coffee & Tea

I love these people. They remember your name and your order, they seem to retain staff unlike other places with higher turnover, which I think drives more consistent quality. They also seem to open earlier (5am) than any other local coffee shop. The only negative I can think off, is that of course it gets busy from time to time.

The customer service here is great. I came here on a Saturday morning and there were 8 people in line. The staff took orders and made coffee drinks quickly and cheerfully.
The coffee at Peet’s is always great and the staff here makes the experience even better !

At some obscenely early hour of the morning, my traveling companions decided that we needed to hike across the parking lot behind the Marriott Courtyard, so that they could order their soy latte mocha frappé cappuccino thingies from Peet’s before the day got started.
I knew that the Peet’s coffee & tea chain had started down the road in Berkeley, CA over 50 years ago, and that Peet’s motto is «Coffee First. Everything Else Second.» Clearly they knew the people traveling with me.
The shop was extremely busy, and the baristas were really scrambling to fill all of the orders. There was a line, almost to the front door, and seats at the nearby tables had filled up quickly. Indoor seating space was at a premium, but thankfully there were plenty of spots at the outdoor tables and chairs.
While my gang was contemplating the proper pairing of their coffee drinks with one of the artisan baked breakfast pastries from the nearby pastry case, I was able to sneak in and place an order for hot green tea and a warm peach scone. My tea was poured into a to-​go container, and the scone was served on a plate with a napkin. No muss, no fuss.
Based upon the traffic in the shopping center, this Peet’s store has quite the following. If you’re there in the morning, then be prepared to wait a bit. Grumpy people should be asked to wait outside until they’ve had their first cup.

Reading other reviews made me write this one. If your coffee is EXACTLY how you like it, Peets will give you a new one no questions asked. Seems others are writing bad reviews based on one bad coffee, one time! I have been to this locat! ion a ton of times and returned a few coffees (I like them extra hot) and never had even a frown. Always a smile, sorry, «let me get you a fresh one». Even been given free drink cards too. Peets rocks!

I wish i could give no stars on wednesday 23^rd my husband and i got hot chocolate and whipped cream. I first take my sip it had no sugar taste no swwet chocolate like i love, i got to the counter and asked the guy why does it not taste sweet and chocolate like its suppose to, he then told me we ran out of chocolate so we made our own. I said well it needs sweetner. He then tells me there is simple syrup on the counter. Nothing changed the taste so we threw it away and left never again. next time if you run out of chocolate tell the customer dont just experiment.

I ordered egg and goat cheese flatbread by just seeing it in the picture, it looked tempting but unfortunately it was not good. Latte was great. Nice environment with a fresh smell of roasted beans. People seems enjoying this place.

I ordered a Jasmine loose leaf tea. After a good 2 – 3 minutes of not getting it right, I gave up and then ended up with a cup of hot water and was handed a tea bag. Frustrating experience.

Great mochas in the long run but the «barista» crew was like a circus of monkeys humping footballs.
Just kidding, my almond milk was burnt to hell and tastes absolutely terrible. I won’t be back to this location ever again.

Filled with friendly faces in a laid back environment where I can chat with friends and have a nice cup of tea. Can’t ask for more. The free WiFi that actually functions at a decent speed is a bonus.

This is in a Safeway/McDonald’s/tons of other stores series of strip malls. Parking isn’t necessarily easy, but it really worked for me on Saturday night when I was tutoring at this Peet’s. The music was really at a low volume, so I didn’t have to shout at my student or mentally filter out the blaring «relaxing» music (think «One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest»), which I often have to do at Starbucks and Peets or other coffee places. Basically, no one bothered us and we got our business done.
It’s nice to be near a Safeway, a McDonald’s and a Super Duper (the burger place, not the Western New York supermarket chain) if you want to eat lunch dinner before or after having coffee, and the Safeway has a gas station with cheap gas. So all in all, my experience was a win. :-)

Peets coffee is just simply the best, and this location is less crowded than many others in the Bay Area. The staff are low-​key, but insanely helpful. I left my cell on the counter one day and they snagged it immediately, so when I came back 5 minutes later it was safely stored at the register! So nice.
Parking at this mall is in high demand all day — park in the larger area and walk to save yourself some aggravation. Because it is literally next to the freeway off-​ramp, it is very popular with the typical off-​on traveler, which leads to some interesting parking lot situations.
I live nearby and go here all the time. Love Peets.

Drinks are much more consistently tasty than at Northgate Peet’s in San Rafael. Plus, the baked goods are fresh. Very friendly service each time! Can’t bring myself to settle for Starbucks in Safeway when there is a Peet’s, even though it is at the other end of the strip mall.

I come here a lot maybe twice a week for the last 2 years now. I’ve never had one problem and the coffee is always consistently great. I’m sure there is better but they deserve 5 stars from me.

I have been to this Peet’s many times. I was just in and wanted to say what a delightful coffee shop this is. The customer service is great. The baked goods are fresh and varied. All kinds of goods. Very nice and clean.

Came in this morning around 7:30am looking for a quick coffee. There was no one waiting in line ahead of me so I’m thinking that this should be really quick and easy. Wrong. The man and woman behind the counter completely ignore me, woman was writing the name of today’s coffee on a board while she and a tall thin young man chatted with their backs to me. After a few minutes, the young man finally turns around and acknowledges I’m standing there, and takes my order.
The barista gets right on my drink, (she’s great!) but gets interrupted by the woman from the front that has some sort of coupon/​postcard she’s asking everyone behind the counter about, seems to be taking their orders for something? Finally I get my drink, good coffee but service was appalling. Think I’ll stick with Starbucks. what with my great expectations of walking in, being acknowledged and having someone make my drink.

I moved my electrical contracting business to the Hamilton field area 2 years ago, and found this Peet’s location soon after.
The same good/​mediocre peet’s you will get anywhere

I live in Hamilton field and I’m so happy to have Peet’s Coffee here! I’m a coffee lover and Peet’s is my first choice! They are good in every way! The price, the service and the quality.
I like the staff too, they’re so friendly and try to give a good service to costumers!
You can always feel the real taste of coffee and tea in Peet’s!

Today I ordered an iced decaf mocha. The so called «professional barista» poured all the ingredients into the cup and handed it to me without stirring it or mixing up the ingredients. The chocolate was on the sides and on the bottom of the cup. I had to ask him to please stir it up and he seemed rather put out that I would ask him to complete the task of making the drink. So much for be being a «professional barista»
Update: so during the past week I was contacted by someone handling the social media for Peets who apologized and assured me that the store manager would handle it.
Well, I went in there today and ordered the same drink and guess what? Had the exact same experience from Myron who made the drink. Just poured all the ingredients into the cup and handed it to me with out mixing it up at all.
I can only conclude that this whole Social Media Customer Service Specialist of Peets reaching out is a bunch of malarky and Peets has no interest in providing good customer service. I won’ go in there again and I advise anyone who wants a drink made by someone who gives half a you know what to avoid this place. They don’t care!

Ok this place has a special place in my heart! Can you say Coconut Mocha Freddo! OFF THE HOOK! The place is pretty conveniently located next to the Safeway shopping center, gas station and the freeway! The coffee shop is pretty big, clean and has bathroom and Wi-​Fi which is pretty standard now a days. The service is pretty good and the baristas know their coffee. They do have an outside sitting area but when it’s hot I’d rather sit inside in the AC!

This is a newer Peets. Its pretty. Lighter colors then when it was by the bagel place on Grant. More cheerful. Smaller though and where to stand is not as defined. That may sound funny but you see people just kinda looking clueless at each other. As always half the employees are delightful and the other half are beautifully emo. I like that there is always consistency in the coffee and tea drinks. And that even with the iced espresso drinks they add foam. It adds depth to the drink.
