Island Glow

My first time with a spray tan. I am definitely doing it again. My skin is very sensitive to a lot of self tanners, but my skin was perfect for my event. The owner made me feel super comfortable. I have super pale legs and I trusted her to make my legs look perfect. I was super pleased with the results. I felt super comfortable with her. She is the best!!! So glad she’s here in Novato!

Best airbrush I have ever had.

VERY impressed with my experience at Island Glow! This was my first time having a person spray tan me, as opposed to Mystic. I had a big event coming up, and wanted to look my best, and so decided to try out Island Glow, based on the amazing reviews.
I showed up, and was instantly impressed with how cute the place was. Very beachy and cozy. Vonelle was very friendly and explained the whole process to me, as well as all my options. I was a little nervous before going in, but she made me feel very comfortable.
I told her I wanted a very dark tan, and so she mixed up a special formula for me and gave me exactly what I asked for! She was detailed, and even did special touch-​ups where I have some skin pigmentation problems. My tan looked amazing, and no one could tell that it was fake! I got TONS of compliments on how tan I looked. Very brown, not orange-​y at all.
The only down-​fall is that it is spendy. But for Novato, Vonelle has very competitive prices… and actually is cheaper than many places. She gives discounts for things like following her on Twitter or Facebook, so that helps save some money :) I can’t afford to go every couple of weeks, like I wish I could, but I will definitely be going back when I need to have a gorgeous tan for my next special occasion!

Been coming to island glow for two years. Couldn’t imagine going anywhere else! Love that vonelle takes the time to perfect every tan… Every time. Also love the fact that she has the most adorable boutique as well. From beautiful jewelry to dresses and swimsuits… I can always find something great to wear for a night out or vacation. You name it:) highly recommend!

How did I not review this place already? It is my ABSOLUTE favorite! I have very fair skin and Vonelle makes me feel like a golden beauty. I have tried basically everything: Magic tan, Mystic tan-​even other people air brushing me… But she has the magic touch. I trust her and she has never failed me. I moved out of Marin and will drive over an hour to have her spray me. If I could afford it I would go on a weekly basis. Not to mention the place is super warm, adorable and clean! I cannot encourage you more to try her out… you will not be disappointed. I promise!

The salon is clean and beautifully decorated with a beach theme. The location is easy to get to with ample parking in the back. The owner is professional, kind and very artistic. My tan comes out perfect every time and I feel entirely comfortable. I will never go anywhere else!

I had never gotten a spray tan before visiting this place and I must say I am so glad I did! Prior to going in, not only was I worried my pale skin would turn orange, I was TERRIFIED of getting a spray tan and not having it look good for my wedding which was only a few days away. She put a 2 hour spray tan on me and I washed it off an hour and a half after I got home and it was PERFECT! The tan was more brownish rather than golden, and it looked completely natural! People complimented me left and right on my wedding day, and no one knew it was a spray tan. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone! I love it!

I’ve always been an indoor tanning girl, tried the Mystic twice and it came out so terrible! At the advice of my dermatologist who scolded me for the indoor tanning beds I decided to give custom spray tanning a try. Wow, I’m in love! What an easy process, she made me feel comfortable, and is clearly an expert. I look amazingly bronze, younger, and glowing! I’m going to sign up for her affordable monthly service and keep coming back!

This was my first time getting a spray tan and honestly, I didn’t think it would make much of a difference on me. I already have olive skin and I was scared that a spray tan would just look extra orange and unnatural. Overall, I thought I was just going to waste my money, but I was too curious for my own good.
That being said, I had the best possible experience. The boutique is super cute and Vonelle is just so sweet. I felt so comfortable and the whole thing must have only taken ten minutes. I loved that she offered the (optional, you can be butt-​naked if you’d like) flower-​shaped pasties and paper thong so I could get the most tan for my buck. The tan came out PERFECTLY! It was just gorgeous. I couldn’t have been more happy with how everything turned out, and I’ll be going back again this week for round two!!!

This place is incredible and I cannot believe it’s in Novato! The space is adorable, as is the owner. She does a wonderful job and is extremely knowledgeable in what she is doing. I am about as pale white as they come and she always does a nice tan on me and i NEVER look orange! Go to this place!

I love my spray tan! Following doctors orders for skin cancer I now stay out of the sun all together, but I look like I’ve been on a long vacation to Hawaii!
The salon is super cute and the owner knows her stuff. She was trained by celebrity spray tan artist for dancing with the stars among others!
So happy with my results! I will be back again soon!

Finally, you can get a great spray tan in Novato! Vonnell is a true artist with the airbrush machine. Not only did she even out my farmer tan, but she got me the perfect shade for a trip to Vegas. All my friends commented on how great it looked. I have been to many salons that were a lot more expensive and did not do nearly the great work that she can do at such a reasonable price. Simply the best!

What a wonderful experience! Vonelle did a great job on my spray tan. I loved it and am going back for another. She is an artist with a great eye and very relaxed and comfortable nature. She makes you feel right at home. And, her shop is adorable. So nice to have this in Novato!

LOVE this salon! One day before my Hawaiian cruise and I decided I am to winter white to go looking like this! Made a same day appt. and in I went! Wow, I don’t even need to go to hawaii, looks like I just got back!!! No streaks, no Oompah Loompa Orange! Owner is sooo efficient and really knows her stuff! I have searched every inch of by body to make sure I don’t look like a bottle tan! Perfect! Highly recommend, love, love this cute lil’ salon! I’m not a big commenter on Unilocal,but really use it to get feedback! Awesome find, now I’ll never have to go back to the snobby place I «used» to go to in Novato!
