This retailer offers no value over a real Verizon store other than convienance if you live in Mid City. The inventory selection is much smaller than a real Verizon store. I went into this store wanting an iPhone 4s. The associate told me that was a horrible phone and he really recomended I get an Android Bionic. Later I went into a real verizon store to look for some accessories because the Wireless city doesnt have any. The associate told me the bionic was a fine phone, but the reason that the Wireless city discouraged me from getting an iPhone is because they don’t sell them. So I go back to return the bionic and I get an attitude from the associate. He is saying that I am making a big mistake and that if I learn how to use the android I will like it. So he takes the items back and resets the contract. Its two weeks later and I still have not recieved my refund. They keep telling me they just want to wait and see and that they will cut me a check soon.

I couldn’t disagree more! I’ve lived Uptown, New Orleans for 6 years and every representative I’ve encountered at Wireless City has been more than helpful to me and every associate I’ve referred to them thus far. They are extremely personable and always do everything in their power to help me with anything I ask them, from lowering my bill to teaching me about my new Droid I know nothing about — yet. Yes, they do sell used phones but only as a courtesy to customers who don’t have many options — which they have done for me twice in the past since I’m fairly irresponsible with my phone like most of us — and never at an unreasonable or non-negotiable price. They are very easy to speak to and when you do, it is obvious they are very experienced and knowledgeable about their products. I would recommend Wireless City to anyone who has Verizon and totally disagree that they are running any type of illegal operations! Bottom line: I’ve never been to any cell phone store with any company where they are as nice and helpful than at the Wireless City store on Magazine St.

Stay away! Wireless City has really screwed me over! First off, I purchased what I thought was a new phone for the price of a new phone and it turned out to be a used phone. I found someone else’s blackberry account and email address on the phone. More importantly, they sold my old blackberry without wiping it to another customer. The phone contained all of my personal information: contacts, blackberry messenger contacts, old emails, account information, etc. Further, the person that had my phone was STILL receiving all of my emails and could sign into all of my services such as IM, verizon services, etc. Do not give your business to Wireless City. They are running illegal operations!
