The Venusian Gardens helped me celebrate the most amazing night of my life, my wedding night! People flew in from all over and it was the most convenient location being right by the quarter. You don’t even need a wedding planner. Ify, the event manager, takes care of everything or directs you to the person who can. The owner, venue, art was just fabulous. I had my wedding here in March 2015. The Gallery itself is gorgeous and the staff are excellent. The event coordinator had worked well with us on our budget and found prices/packages that fit.(We got a great deal that came with tables, chairs, linens, security, event manager, pre clean, post clean e.t.c) The ceremony was located on the gallery second floor and the cocktail reception was on the patio which was beautifully lit with lights shining on the palm trees. The dinner reception was located on the second floor which was turned over while we were having the cocktail reception on the patio. More than enough room for our guests and a huge dance floor. The décor is perfect and we barely needed any extras/design because its an art gallery on its own. If you are looking for an out of the box unique” wedding — this place is perfect. The Wedding Event Coordinator made the entire process easy and pleasant. She was always available by cell phone which was great because i had so many questions! Its my first and ONLY wedding so you could say i was a bit of a bridezilla at times hahaha

THEVENUSIANGARDENS!!! When we went to visit the venue we asked about where our guest would be during the cocktail hour. They told us that they usually set up on the side walk for the cocktail hour. I told them that Venusian Gardans wasn’t the place for us because I didn’t want our guest on the side walk in front of the building. Ify the manager then told me they would have renovations in the back yard complete by then and we could use it at no charge. 6 weeks before the wedding, they called to tell me if we wanted to use the backyard I would have to pay them $ 250 and I had to provide the furniture. Of course I refused considering I had already paid them $ 3700. We then asked them about using the building for rehearsal and they told us it would cost $ 250. So we had rehearsal at the Ambassador. A week before the wedding Ify called Kersulyn our wedding planner and told her she could have the back yard at no charge. She also told Kersulyn she would furnish the back yard at no additional cost. On wedding day the venue was filthy and my staff had to clean it. When Kersulyn arrived Ify demand $ 500 for the backyard and the furnishing so Kersulyn paid it. There was supposed to be 8 tables in the back yard and there was only 1. There was supposed to be 13 guest tables in the building and there were only 9. I had to rent 10 additional tables and linens to hold the food, cake, and the bar. The contract we signed didn’t include or exclude the backyard. The contract said there was supposed to be security. None of us saw security. There venue provided no staff to turn the room over from the ceremony to the reception. My wedding planner and her staff had to do it all. The contract said they would provide all the tables and linens but they didn’t. One of my guest fell in a whole in the backyard another cut his arm on a nail sticking out of the gate. After our balance was paid we couldn’t get in touch with them. They wouldn’t meet with us nor would they return our calls. We tried everything to move the wedding but every place we called was already booked. Our wedding was held May 17, 2014 and it was not an enjoyable experience thanks to the unprofessional and in unethical owners of the Venusian Gardens.
