I wish that I had known about this way before now. They have free concerts Sunday evenings, and it is a beautiful church. I went a week and a half ago as someone special was playing harp there. The sanctuary is large and an ideal location to hear music being played. They have a huge pipe tracker organ, which I have always been fascinated by these large organs. The church itself is a gem, and I am glad to have experienced this and look forward to coming back for more concerts and perhaps a service. There appeared to be many people who come regularly. I found it entertaining that the lady behind me was busily knitting a scarf and a lovely artist was sketching the harpist. I think that everyone should come out and see a concert here.

What a gem of a place to attend concerts on a Sunday evening and the fact that it’s FREE is a ‘no-brainer.’ I discovered this lovely church by accident while riding on the 91 Esplanade bus. So far, I have been to a total of 5 performances including the ‘Jazz Vesters’ every Sunday evening at 9p. If you’re looking for a short, sweet and entertaining service, you may want to check this out. It starts promptly at 9p and the earliest I’ve gotten out is 9:15p. Most of the time it’s over by 9:20p. I aint lyin’. In recent weeks, I’ve seen Tommy Sancton New Orleans Jazz Trio, Bridget Brazile, a soprano who dazzled us with her jazz and spiritual numbers. This past week 3÷3÷13 — I had the pleasure of hearing The Orleans Original Jazz Ensemble. Each musical guests are allowed three or four selections called Jazz Meditation or Jazz Reflections which can be anything from a pop, jazz, tradition or spiritual tune. I always close my eyes and see if I can name that tune. I was able to name all four tunes this past Sunday. «Look What They Done To My Song, Ma» «Sweet Georgia Brown» Closer Walk With Thee“ Just A Little While To Stay Here“ The Artist Series happens at 2 or 5p on Sundays and is celebrating 25 years of continuous concerts. . On April 5th the Series presents the«36th Bach Around the Clock Festival» with 29 continuous hours of everything from early baroque to classical. and, it’s a sleep over! People always look so happy at these events, must be something about the music. Always a thoroughly enjoyable experience!

The Trinity Artist Series is a unique series of concerts that occur most Sundays at 5 p.m. in Trinity Episcopal Church. I’ve seen everything from a classical harpsichordist to a very cleaned up act by J. Monque ‘D. Best of all they are all free!
