I’ve been to The Cannery for a few weddings and events and I have to say this space is great. I would highly suggest this space if you have 100 – 300 people, once an event starts getting into the 400s parking starts to get hairy and it is hard to move around the venue. This is a great space for a wedding reception!

I have been to 3 very different events at the Cannery; a silent auction for charity, awards banquet, and a wedding reception. I was able to see the versatility of the Cannery and was impressed every time. Each event was set up so different that it would be hard to tell that it was the same place if I didn’t know any better. The actual venue is beautiful. I love the pinkish purple lighting that goes up the white walls for a posh look. The bar area is off to the side in a separate room with couches for additional seating. I like that its slightly separate from the main room and set up for intimate socializing, much different than the grand room set up for a band and dancing. Their bartenders could use a little help from 1−800-Bartend, they did not know how to make some common drinks, but were still nice and did their best to give you what you wanted. Its a great spacious event for a larger reception or seated dinner.

A great open space that is flexible for any event you would want. There are two drawbacks to this place. 1. There are two large columns in the middle of the large room that makes seeing the stage difficult. It blocks about ¼ of the room. If you’re there for a festival like event where the stage isn’t the focal point, it’s great because it’s easy to circulate around. The back room has the fully stocked bar. The bathrooms are always clean and with a lot of stalls, so you never have to wait too long to go to the bathroom during a big event. They even have a little tray table stocked with hair spray etc and mints for your use.
