I work right across the street and I’m so happy I discovered this place. I love going here to grab a quick coffee or lunch. Service is friendly and fast and prices are very reasonable, especially for being in the CBD. Their menu has a really good selection of sandwiches, soups and salads. I usually opt for a half sandwich and soup combo and have never been disappointed with anything I’ve tried. Highly recommended.

Had lunch here today with friends. Had a yummy sandwich, the fontina press. Enjoyed my lunch, but the music was too quiet to hear, but loud enough for me to be aware of the sound. Turn the music up a little, and it would be great.

The food is always good, especially the soups and the sandwiches, the Mediterranean wrap being my favorite. Their individual upside down cakes are also delicious and their coffee selection is nice! However, the service is way too slow for their kind of soup and I always see at least 6 people working there and it’s not crowded. Also, I rated it one $ but no meal I’ve had has been less than $ 10.

Great place located in the CBD to get a quick and tasty meal. The Vita Red salad is delicious! The large assortment of coffee beverages and scrumptious pastries are great to start off your day as well.

Place has gone downhill with a lot of recent employee turnover. I think the last straw for me was this morning, when the server who had just poured my coffee and handled my credit card was complaining to a co-worker that she was still«burning up» with a fever she had all weekend. Great, thanks for coming to work so you can spread your illness to lord knows how many patrons you encounter today.

Had a less than pleasant experience first time I went last fall. Today they«lost» my order so i got to watch my table eat and then 15mins later inhale my food. $ 11 for a mediocre salad won’t happen again.

Our whole office ordered a delivery lunch today. I ordered the shrimp salad, which was supposed to be spicy boiled shrimp on Butter lettuce. It was plain cooked shrimp(4.5 small ones), on a bed of 1 – 2 pieces of Butter lettce and the rest Romain. It wasn’t tasty, was overpriced, and didn’t track the menu description. If you only have 12 damn things on the menu, how can there be such deviaiton? The special soup de jour(shrmip and crab) was mediocre at best. Another awful CBD joint that can’t put together a decent sandwich, salad or soup. How hard is this?

Continuing to make the lunch rounds, I hit up Terrazu, which is located in the mall-type area at Plaza St. Charles a few blocks off Canal Street. They are a few steps above a coffee shop with a range of coffee drinks and smoothies, as well as sandwiches and salads. I decided to continue a new quest — to find the best Reuben in New Orleans… well, actually, I guess I didn’t have a Reuben here, I had a Manhattan Club, which was corned beef and pastrami with swiss cheese and spicy creole mustard. So it was close to being a Reuben. But then when they brought it to me, I don’t think there was any pastrami on it. I ate most of it before realizing, then poked around and didn’t see any. It still had excellent flavor though, but again, it just wasn’t enough food. However, and this will contribute much to the«service» score, I was just about done and a woman came to our table and handed me another half sandwich. She said something about how the sandwich fell apart while she was putting it on the plate, so she wanted to give me more. I’m not sure if she meant that usually there would have been more and she fixed the falling apart half, or maybe she felt bad that it wasn’t presented properly, so she gave me more. Regardless, it was a tasty sandwich with chips for 10 bucks. I’m not holding back points for quantity since I had enough, but next time, it may not be the same deal. Food score is 34. As mentioned above, the service was great! Extra food is always accepted. I’ll give them a 15 in service. The atmosphere was fine. It’s a small lunch spot with about six tables. It’s located in the lobby of an office building with other shops around it. Nothing special. I don’t think it’s worth a special trip, but if you’re wondering around the CBD, you may as well stop in. 16 out of 30 for atmosphere. Final score = 67(I created a restaurant ranking system which includes a total of 100 points(50 for food, 30 for atmosphere and 20 for service).

Just had a Caprese salad, while it was a nice sized salad thanks to the huge bed of lettuce underneath the four slices of tomatoes, it was really lacking in flavor. The worst tomatoes, beefsteak, and they gave me a hard end piece. Why are you serving this!!! Roma tomatoes go on a Caprese!!! The balsamic vinegarette should be replaced with just plain balsamic and olive oil, that’s much tastier. The fresh Mozzarella was pretty good, but they completely forgot the basil on top. A Caprese is not a Caprese without the basil! I got it to go so I couldn’t notify the people behind the counter. Think I’m done getting food from Terazzu, still make some good coffee, but Starbucks is just a block away.

The 3 stars are for the ability of the the employees putting up with the manger and one of the older women employees who straight up scream-fought with each other over which soup was correct for the customer. Almost every time I have gone to this place, the manager has been on her phone while the other employees are scrambling to help customers or fill catering orders. When they ask for help, she doesn’t respond and when the older woman employee starts up with her, it is a scene. I wish they would replace the manager so the environment would be more inviting!

I was very disappointed with my lunch today. How is a business going to offer Chicken Tortilla soup without any tortillas? It’s was basically canned vegetable soup with grilled pita strips. The Manhattan Club sandwich also left much to be desired.

average coffee. went for lunch and the service was very unhappy and the sandwich showed it – the«hot» corned beef/pastrami was hot is some bites but not others. no reason to go back with all the options in the area.

This place is great! Just wish they would post their daily specials online like Welty’s does. I can’t use facepuke during the day. Great salads. Great daily soups. And you can build your own half sandwich and cup of soup. I really like their vitablue salad also.

I wish this place was open for longer hours. Regardless, the food and service was great. I had a conference to attend, so I decided to get breakfast and lunch to go, as I heard negative reviews about the food court at the convention center. I got the strawberry croissant, which tasted very delicate and mildly sweet. For lunch, I got the House Special sandwich with SunChips. The lady who made my sandwich was so sweet and said she put extra love into it. Finally I encountered some southern hospitality, as the rest of my experience in NOLA was lacking it. This café is located on the lower level of an office building. A bit difficult to find for out-of-towners, but just be patient.

The silver lining in the cloud that is the CBD. Luckily I’m rarely around here, but Terrazu is a great spot of light in a plcae that is so stark on good food. Especially healthy food options. Great hours, great prices, great staff, and great location if working or attending meetings in CBD. Will be back every time I’m around here for lunch.
