I’m so glad I got to tour the house again this past Christmas(with my Mom and 4 nieces). Each time I toured the amount of bear memorabilia seems to have grown exponentially. The little nieces were overwhelmed; the teen nieces were freaked out; and my Mom tried to look at every single thing until she realized that she would have to be in the house for months. As always the tour guides were gracious and the house is beautiful and the sheer amount of bear stuff is crazy. And I’m afraid the bearhouse is no more. The owner told me that he was considering selling and moving his collection to a permanent location in Mississippi where it will become a Teddy Bear Museum. I’ll go by one last time tomorrow for the estate sale and say goodbye to the craziness that was this house. I hope the new owners do their own over-the-top decorations this Christmas.

5 stars because I got to see the outside and that was impressive. This place has become my white whale. I’ve gone two different times(one during hours that I thought they were having tours!) and they were closed. The second time the whole place was lit up and I knocked on the door and got no where. Oh well. Maybe next year. From what I can tell it DOES look really cool. I wanna see the bears!
