Sisters Are We Consignment and More

On the Other Hand is now Sisters are We. AND the new owner bought a lot of the old stock and has priced it to move. The store is a little less jam packed and the owner no longer smokes in the store so yay all the way around.
There was a little bit of everything in the shop, from a rack of wedding dresses in the back (for your next Miss Haversham in the 80s costume) to casual wear to housewares to who knows what else.
Be prepared to dig and the owner is definitely interested in moving her stock.

Here, in historic Oak Street in the Carrollton neighborhood of Uptown New Orleans were locals and visitors (who are looking for less touristic places) hang and shop,
I found «Sisters Are We» ! ! !
A real down to earth store (which reminded me of the London charity stores in the 80’s/90’s), where you find the unexpected perfect item for yourself amongst a fast amount of all sort of clothes and accessories.
And I did! Holister perfect fitting jeans for $ 7.50, it was marked for $ 30 but when my friends and me walked in we were greeted «Hi guys everything is 75% off today!»
I guess this is a regular sale as otherwise $ 30 for the same item would have been to high and I wouldn’t have paid $ 30 for them as new holister jeans are $ ⁵⁰⁄₆₀.
However if you love to rumble and jumble and like to chat to friendly locals this is one of the places to go.
