The only bonus is the location. This was the closest gas station/convenience store to where I lived when I first moved to NOLA. The gas prices are usually a tad bit higher than other gas stations. Restrooms are not clean at all. The covering above the gas pumps is of little use when the sun is rising or setting. After 10 pm or so, no customers are allowed in the store unless a police officer happens to be in the store. The night attendants are spotty with their comprehension of the English language. They do have a variety of snack foods, beer and the lotto inside.

Shell gas, 4 double side pumps with close quarters. Busy place, covered pumps. Between Burger King and Popeyes

Convenient to the UNO area, but rather pricey. The gas is usually a few cents higher, but hey, its Shell Gas(if you buy that distincition). Having said that, if you drop your kid/significant other off at any of the schools in the area, its the most convenient place to fill up before you scoot out. You can buy lottery tickets, milk, booze, etc., at the usual gas station pricing(meaning very high).

This Shell station located near UNO at the end of Elysian Fields is fairly new, having been built-rebuilt after Katrina. The staff are just barely nice enough, the rest room, well, consider other options, and they offer the usual crap food and refreshing drinks one might expect. The vibe here is more relaxed than the gas stations downtown where you expect a hold up any minute.
