Rue 21. The smell in this store makes me avoid it as much as possible. But my daughters love it. They seem to have anything thing that is needed for a financially challenged tween or teen to stay socially relevant.(Cause you know, I’m not paying for this stuff) I am not sure how they can stand the sinus assaulting scents and the head pounding garbage that blares out of the speakers, but they always squeal with delight at some treasure that they have located adorned with the red clearance line on the tag. The 21 in the name must be the number of different perfumes that are combined to generate the distinct smell that makes me want to skip meals for the next 6 hours. Or perhaps 21 is the maximum age you should be to shop here, although occasionally you will see a 30 – 50 something who is in there shuffling through the foil printed t-shirts holding them up admiring their appearance in the mirror. I do on occasion find something relatively neutral and not glittery for myself. I can usually make my Christmas dollar stretch pretty far when I go in here, especially when I keep an eye on the sales throughout the year.
