Rockery Ace Hardware

I have been to this particular Ace Hardware on several occasions. Each time, I have received consistent friendly service. I would also prefer Ace Hardware over any big box store any time. I think the prices are reasonable, especially since there are no big box locations nearby. The people who work here never speak down to me, and just quickly help me to get in and out as quickly as possible, which is always a good thing. Parking is easy to get in and out of, and the lot is never too full to find a decent spot.

Storytime!: The first time I ended up here I had been all over the city trying to find someone who could make a key that would actually start my car. It’s a non-​transponder key but they do make transponders over here too. Anyway I had been to two walmarts, home depot, lowes and several locksmiths. Problem is almost everyone uses the same laser key cutting system. I was about to go to the dealer and spend a good amount of money just to get spare keys. But in a last ditch effort I called them up. The guy who answered didn’t even ask what kind of car I have or nothing he was just like come on over. He sounded confident so I did.
Give him the key and he cuts some new ones on the machine and then follows me out to the car. They don’t work. Bummer. But then! he pulls out a file and starts filing away on the keys. After he de-​burrs them he hands ‘em back and asks me to try them out. ALL OF THEM WORK!!! Hallelujah!
Now you’d think with all that special treatment I’d be charged more or something. NOPE. Paid the normal price for a key.
They made a customer for life that day. Been back several times and have not been disappointed in them once.

Honest ACE
Helpful and prompt, I’ll take ACE over Home Depot any day! I gave a young man who greeted me instantly upon entering the store my house key that I needed copied and he did so in under 30 seconds. Then I showed him my towel rack that pulled from my wall and he got me all the right screws I needed and even told me how to install it! I’m not big on household projects particularly those involving screwing things into my walls but he made this project as quick and painless as possible, eye rolls not included. And it was super reasonable! I will definitely be back.

I’m a fan of having this place close by. Helpful for various household projects for common hardware items and specialty parts. The staff is more knowledgable than Home Depot’s. I wish the prices were better but I wish that about most places these days. Some items are cheaper than HD, some aren’t.
