Among the best BBQ experiences I’ve ever had. Not only is the meat delicious, but the value for money is the best I can recall. The $ 10 two meat, two side plate will give you enough food for two people, two meals, or one incredible pig out(my choice). The only downside is that it appears to be open only for lunch and only on weekdays.

3.25÷5 prelim yum i have to go back, but from my first visit i was fairly impressed. it was a short line, and 2 meat plate for $ 10 was a great deal. and this was enough food for lunch, dinner, and lunch the next day! it was actually a concerning amount of meat. the mac n cheese was standard, and the greens, while flavorful, were a bit of a salt mine. i was eyeing the corn though, which they kept submerged in this yellow liquid, assuming butter gold. tip — the sauces are available for you on the table, for those who have control issues. i’ll be back!

This is excellent bbq in a very unexpected location… In an office building with seating/eating area right in the lobby as you walk in. It is connected to the Hyatt. I had the pulled pork sandwich sandwich on a French roll with coleslaw on top and baked beans as my side. They have 4 sauces in bottles on the tables to choose from. The«Heavy»(molasses) and the«Sweet» were my favorites and I liked mixing them together. I highly recommend this place. Closed weekends as it is in an office building catering to those workers.

Super nice people, fast service and great choice of bbq sauces! I liked my pulled pork sandwich and side of Mac but the bread just did not go well with the sandwich. It was too much bread! I’d come back here again for a quick lunch though!

The Q is an improvement over the Whole Hog. The BBQ hasn’t changed(and that’s a good thing — both the brisket and the pulled pork are very good, although I like the pulled pork better), but the daily specials have expanded and are pretty good. I’m a fan of the stuffed potato with pulled pork(go light on the cheese) with the yellow mustard sauce. It’s a weekly ritual.

I have tried Q several times. The food and staff are basically the same as the now closed Whole Hog. They have never prepared my order correctly. With 6 sauces I can not find a fav. The smoked burger is pre cooked and extremely dry. I have ordered the stuffed baked potato and they didn’t stuff it. It also had a rotten spot in the potato. Burger with 1 side was around 10 bucks. Mac and cheese was good.

So I am in the area for a conference and my coworkers want to come here for lunch. Not sure why a group of Texans would go to a «real Texas BBQ» place for lunch while in New Orleans… but I went along. The line was HUGE, but fortunately moved fast(and we had 90 minutes for lunch). The restaurant is really just a counter to order and pick up your food with the seating in the lobby of the building and somewhat limited. Fortunately once we were through we were able to find a spot. On the tables are 4 different kinds of BBQ sauce & paper towels. I got a two meat meal with chicken and brisket. The chicken was okay, but the brisket was actually quite good. I used their spicy sauce and it was tasty but not really spicy. The cornbread muffin was great, but my two sides(macaroni & cheese and coleslaw) were blah, but I don’t really like most sides that come with BBQ, so I may not be the best judge to listen to on this. Overall, this was pretty good Texas style BBQ, but being from Houston, I wouldn’t go again because I want NOLA food.
