A long standing New Orleans small business, Q Lee cleaners is my go-to dry cleaning place. Parking is street only, but there is a good stretch of loading/parking about a block long on Basin so it’s pretty easy to pull up, hop off, take care of your dry cleaning needs, and be on your way. Service is almost fast and friendly and the dry cleaning is impeccable. I’ve never had an issue with missing/damaged items or unsatisfactorily clean clothes. For last minute people like me they offer same day services, drop off early in the morning and pick up after 2pm. This came in handy when I needed to drop off a suit Friday morning for an early Saturday affair! Highly recommend this small business owned by friendly New Orleanians!

Don’t go here!!! when I got my silk windbreaker back the zipper was completely stuck, and there was a small zipper shaped rip in the jacket alongside the zipper inset. I’m sure they tried to force the zipper and ripped it. I was telling a friend this story, and he told me they completely lost his suit.

I took a bridesmaid dress in to be hemmed and taken in. The dress is simple, no beading or intricate detail, should be simple right? No! When I went into the«dressing room» I should have been alarmed, it’s a small hallway where the employees exit into the customer area that is closed off with a curtain. So small that you bump into the walls changing. The reviews on Unilocal played in my mind so I overlooked it. I put the dress on and the seamstress came in and began pinning the dress. We agreed to take it in one inch on each side and it fit perfectly pinned. I was told I could pick it up in two days. The total would be $ 65($ 15 hem $ 45 take in). I returned Friday(today) to pick up my dress. The lady handed it to me and proceeded to ring me up, I asked to try it in again. After receiving a questionable look she replied«ok». I go in the janky«dressing room» again and as I am putting on the dress it wouldn’t hook at the top. I tried to hook it again but the sides didn’t meet. By 2 inches! I tried zipping, and it wouldn’t zip up. The dress was 2 sizes to small! I walked out and asked for assistance hoping it was just me. The seamstress came in to help. After trying to stuff me in the dress she said she couldn’t fix it like I wanted. I told her at that point she should have called me. She said she could let it out. I could recount every moment in that room but I’m not. Needless to say my dress doesn’t fit and she’s going to let it out and it will be in the same state as it was when I brought it in. The hem was also frayed and had loose strings hanging it was also bubbled and not flat as a hem should be. She kept saying she would refund me, which wouldn’t be a favor anyway. I told her I wasn’t going to pay until my dress was fixed. I’m beyond disgusted. It took everything in me to not go bananas in there. I would not recommend going to this place at all! There were also a few stains from the«steam pressing» on my dress. I go to pick up the dress on Monday. I will see if she let it back out to its original state.

Awesome cleaners! Great staff and quick service. The NOPD uses them so they must be good right? LOL. I love the location as it is situated at the corner of Basin and Claiborne right by the FQ. The only downside is they close rather early(4pm) so I always have to drop off and pick up in the mornings. They also are closed on the weekends :( Q Lee, nevertheless, never disappoints!

I have always used Unilocal to read reviews — not write them. But I received a customer experience so outstanding from Q Lee last weekend that I would be remiss not to leave a review. Last week, in preparation for my wedding, I dropped off my suit jacket and shirt to be pressed. Not paying attention to the hours, I was horrified to learn on Friday evening that they are not open on weekends, and that I was left without half my wedding attire. Thankfully my groomsman acted fast, found Q Lee’s daughter on Facebook, left a message explaining the situation, and Q assured us that he would drive from Mississippi Saturday afternoon to open the shop just to deliver my clothes. Thank you for saving the day! The suit looked great.

Quite simply… THEBEST dry cleaners in town! Fast, courteous, efficient and very reasonably priced. They have a great computer and barcode system, provide laundry bags for easy drop off and promote recycling hangers, which I gladly do.

Q Lee Laundry & Cleaners has been providing excellent service in the Treme area since 1940. Located just off the corner of Basin & North Claiborne, this place is a hidden gem among dry cleaners. If you are driving by and happen to blink, you’ll miss it and drive right past it. This business caters to the Treme neighborhood, the NOPD and professionals in the CBD. I found them back in 1998 when I happen to be working for the City of New Orleans, and would have to guess that 30−40% of their business is from the NOPD; because there are policemen and police women here all day, every day, dropping off and picking up uniforms. They are a family run business to this day, with«Junior» in charge, along with his wife, two sisters and several local neighborhood employees. I can honestly say that they do a great job and always have your clothes ready when promised. The only reason I do not give them 5 stars(sorry Q-Lee) is that there business hours are not lengthy enough. After hurricane Katrina, it took nearly a year for them to re-open. When they did, they opted not to open up on Saturdays any more. Also, there hours are 7:30 am to 4:00 pm. In my opinion, if you are only going to be open Monday through Friday, it would be nice to see some extended hours, such as 7:00 am to 6:00 pm. However, I do understand that this is a high crime area and perhaps they wish to leave by sundown. Regardless, I will forever be a customer here and can highly recommend them for all your dry cleaning needs.
