You can’t kill Gulf Coast Soul. In this uncertain economic time, I recommend getting back to your roots. Musical roots, that is. The stuff you hear pouring out of your radio today? The performers at the Stomp are responsible for it. New Orleans R&B, soul, funk, rockabilly, blues, and even surf rock forerunners show up at the Stomp, ready to crank it to 11 and rock the heck out. If you want acts that steal the show, electrify the audience, and behave(instead of pulling drunk antics of «modern» music celebrities), this is where you want to be. Hour after hour of more and more delicious music with flailing, stomping, dancing hipsters and fans of yore boogying side-by-side. Even a mild curiosity makes these festival tickets worthwhile. Also consider the venue(House of Blues) is much more interesting than a muddy field somewhere with lines for porta-potties and brown acid.
