Where you can buy Mardi Gras. Although it kinda takes the magic out of it, this place is always clean and easy to get in/out. The staff is friendly & helpful. Large selection for year round purchases, not just carnival. Always well stocked & new stuff each time I go and the service is friendly. You get a discount if you’re a member of a krewe. There’s a lot of bulk beads, but you can also buy things individually and it’s great if you’re having a theme party.

I went looking for blinky beads, feather boas, and found a lovely selection of all. They have every color of boa, Mariobou feather and the regular feather kind(don’t know name). I didn’t find blinky rings, but they may have been out.

Yay! Mardi Gras is here!!! I found a handbag to with my ball dress for Bacchus for less than $ 5. My daughter got star pink LED clip on earings, which is her favorite color may I add. She’s going to be so excited. This place is great. So organizated and the people are nice.

It’s no secret, I like to have weird kooky stuff at our Unilocal parties, and Plush Appeal fits the bill. I can’t say I ever truly know what I’m going to find there, and sometimes I leave empty-handed, but it’s so close to my house that I don’t feel like it was a waste of time. When you walk in, to the right is party decorations and beads. Some of the decorations are broken down by theme, i.e. cinco de mayo, st. patrick’s day, bachelor/bachelorette parties and color, i.e. blue, red, rainbow. They also have a bunch of different fun beads without having to go all the way out to Kenna’ though the selection isn’t as extensive. To the left, you’ve got kooky sunglasses, hats, masks, boas, a variety of purses for Muse decorating, glowing/flashing hoos-its and whats-its galore, a handful of costumes and more. There is also a higher end little gift section and, I believe, a spot where you can custom order some goods, that I’ve yet to take advantage of. I’ve used overgrown mustaches to tie onto sashes for male pageantry; I’ve accumulated a plethora of silly sunglasses, boas, masks, and goofy hats for our photo backdrop; and I’ve eyed a few really odd items that I’m sure would be useful… some day. It’s a fun store to check out, and the prices are just right IMO. I’d suggest snapping a photo of some of the things that you might not need now, but could potentially use at a later date and time.
