Went here for dinner the other day and enjoyed it. Springs rolls are ok but the phở(w/brisket and rare beef) has a delicious rich beefy broth. It’s perhaps a little heavy but an excellent dish. Also very impressed by the prices — extremely affordable — and great service.

Amazing phở. Probably some of the best I’ve had. My girlfriend and I order from here at least twice a month. Staff is always courteous and professional. Only downside is they are closed on Monday, but everyone needs a break. I will continue to frequent this business.

I lunched with a friend here whilst finishing my Christmas shopping on Christmas Eve. There was actually a nice little lunch crowd in the place at about 12:30, but my friend and I were able to grab table and assess the menu. We started with the pork spring rolls, and since the day was unseasonably warm, I decided to skip the phở and got the pork bún(vermicelli bowl) with egg roll instead. The pork spring rolls were excellent. They were packed with pork, lettuce and vermicelli and really delicious. Of course, there was peanut sauce for dipping– perfect. The pork bún did not disappoint at all. This bowl came PACKED to the brim with huge pieces of pork, lettuce, peanuts, carrots and vermicelli noodles and an egg roll on the side and there was fish sauce to mix into the dish. The pork was perfectly cooked and I loved how generous the portion was. It was perfect for lunch and definitely hit the spot. I also got a Vietnamese iced coffee and, even though it was a bit sweet, it was really good. Just a note about some people complaining about the wait. Yes, there was a wait. It was about an hour from the time I sat down to the time i was walking out the door. I will say this: there was one woman waiting on every table in the place and clearing tables as people left. She never stopped and she was even running from table to table to make sure everyone was happy. I’d be willing to bet there was only one person in the kitchen cooking, as well. This is a small operation and they are really working hard here to keep everyone happy. If there is a bit of a wait, just be patient. I went in with open eyes, having read past reviews, so the wait wasn’t an issue for me. More time to chat, I say! I loved my experience here. The food was excellent and the staff was polite and friendly. While I won’t say that it’s the very best Vietnamese food New Orleans has to offer, I was left happy with my food and I would return.

Very, very average food but it’s cheap and the service is good. There are better Vietnamese places in town. It’s not bad, it’s just average.

Food was solid. Service was awful. Waited over 45 min for phở. When I inquired about the food delay, the person at the counter said, «uhh yeah your food is coming… we have a lot of takeout orders.» Also, there were was another table that ordered about 10 minutes after us that got their food before us. They even ordered the same appetizer and got that before we did. Tip: next time just say, «Hey, I’m really sorry but we are a little short staffed today» or something like that. As a customer it does not make me feel good to know that you’re servicing all of the take out orders while I sit here at my table with my family waiting for my food.

A solid«good» across the board. Came here on a rainy day and it was a sleepy atmosphere. Hot tea and curry tofu was the order of the day. Generous portion of noodles with fresh veggies. I will get the spring rolls next time.

The vegan phở and the tofu spring rolls were AMAZING. Service was great. I love that it’s open on Sundays. Will be coming here more often.

As the name implies, this is a Viet restaurant specializing in phở. Food: Typical Viet fare, including phở, vermicelli noodles, spring rolls, banh mi, and other traditional items. I chose a large bowl of phở tai(beef flank steak, if I recall). The broth, which is the most difficult part of this soup to pull off, was good(a little above average). I like cilantro in my phở, and it was brought to me upon request. Cost was on par with other similar restaurants, with many dishes under $ 10.(3 stars) Service: This is where this establishment shines. It was my first time here, and disconcertingly quite slow for the lunch hour(only one other customer), but the service was great. My needs were attended to promptly, the food came out in short order(about 5 – 10 minutes), and the lone waiter on duty was unobtrusive and didn’t dote on me, linger at the table, rush me, or over-visit. This is exactly how I like to be treated at a «sit-down» restaurant. I had the pleasure of also meeting with the owner, who thoroughly went over his process for slow-cooking his phở broth. Both the server and owner were quite congenial.(5 stars for nearly flawless service) Facilities: The restaurant resides in a traditional row housing-style building as is common on Magazine street. Signage is minimal, and I actually thought I was going into another Viet restaurant I like to frequent, which was actually a block away. I looked at the menu and decided to stay. The inside was slightly nicer décor than your run-of-the-mill Viet restaurant. Bathroom was clean. Chair and tables were all wood, which is fine for a quick lunch or dinner, but I’m not sure I’d want to sit in those chairs for an extended visit. As the establishment is right on Magazine St, parking can be a hassle. I chose to park on a side street about 2 blocks away.(3 stars) Overall: 3 stars, though I would definitely come back again, assuming I could find nearby parking off Magazine St.

A weird variation of Vietnamese food. The phở was just ok, tasted like ocean water. The service was super slow, do not come here if you have anywhere to be, do not be fooled by all of the open seats. Your food will take 30min minimum to come out. The noodle dishes were… different. I had the curry tofu and it tasted like dry curry powder sprinkled on top of uncooked tofu over very white dry unseasoned noodles. I guess I was looking for a sauce of some kind.

Ordered the Chicken Lemongrass for lunch. The favors and spicy left me wanting more and more. Very fresh and a great summer dish…

Food was great, what I got to eat. I came in with my infant and was never offered a baby’s eat so spent the meal wrestling for a bite of food. Not busy, just not very aware of their customers. Waited for a go box while he walked back and forth. Finally left a twenty on $ 14 and all my food behind. It’s lunch people, it’s gotta be efficient

Had the phở tai and it was tasty. Bummed that they don’t serve tendon here though. The lady had the vegan phở and that was on point. Definitely recommend checking this little gem out. It’s also BYOB! Can’t beat that.

Excellent banh mi poboy — I went with the pork with an egg on each half and it was perfect for today’s hangover. Contrary to other comments, we had great, very friendly service as well.

This place has improved steadily since their initial opening challenges. They were one of the few options open on Mardi Gras day and seem to be working hard to run a good business. They have a decent selection of items on the menu while the service is usually in the range of acceptable to very slow so they could be faster on refilling drinks. Overall this is usually a decent place to grab some affordable Vietnamese food in the area.

My cousin and I checked this place out because I searched Unilocal for a Vietnamese restaurant and I had a taste for some Phở. This is a cool little restaurant. It was right off Magazine street where we were doing some shopping. We were seated immediately at a table and ordered the egg rolls and spring rolls. The spring rolls were delicious but the egg rolls were the best. We had two orders, don’t judge. Get them and you will understand! We followed up the spring and egg rolls with chicken phở. The hint of jasmine was perfect. This has to be one of the best order of Phở I have ever had. The food tasted so fresh and the price was right. The staff put the icing on the cake. They both were so helpful and pleasant. I am a sucker for Pad Thai, so I will return.

Good Phở and pleasant staff there. Seems like it’s family owned and very low key environment.

This is a cool little restaurant and it had just what I needed on a rainy Sunday. I was on Magazine St. getting my phone repaired down the block and had the intention of having lunch while I waited on that. I am glad I chose Phở Noi Viet. I have been having some health issues and I find Vietnamese food is usually a good bet. The dish I chose was especially so, I think. I got the tofu and rice with kind of a stewed tomato sauce that had some garlic in it. It was simple and mild but tasted quite good to me. It was just what I needed. Also, the price was right and the portion was big enough that I took some home and had it for lunch the next day. Also, the server was very nice.
