KINGTUTINTHEFRENCHQUARTER ? It’s the first time we ventured all the way from Canal up Royal Street to the Esplanade. Window shopping and gazing at all the French Quarter Christmas decorations. Egypt is always close to our hearts. They consider themselves as Egyptian and not Arabs even though the official language is Arabic. To make it in the Arab film industry, the Cairo accent is most preferred in order to succeed. One of our most favorite Egyptian deity is the falcon like god Horus. Patron god of the ancient Egyptians. Son of Osiris and Isis and is the god of vengeance, sky and kingship. We stopped dead in our tracks and could not resist looking inside Khaled Hegazzi’s curio Pharaoh’s Cave. He has all sorts of neat Egyptian made products and souvenir items. His inventory includes Egyptian figurines, belly dancing costumes, jewelry, essential oils, Middle Eastern music and the list goes on. Guess what I found? A Horus necklace waiting just for me !
