Talk about a pleasant surprise!!! Incredibly nice employees and tasty phở! I love phở more than any food in the world and I couldn’t have been happier to find this place… especially after too much partying the night before. We couldn’t find the place and so we called them. Even though they were supposed to be closing they stayed open just for us. MADEMYDAY!!! Btw, phở is a great hangover remedy.

Phở done right! They take the time to prepare their meats the traditional way which makes the Bahn Mi Sandwich the BOMB!!! I ate one every day for a week while visiting Nola. Jeni-Phở and her husband were above and beyond nice, and the Vietnamese Ice Coffee was the best! Franchise in Cali PLEASE!

Moving or closing. They lost their lease when the person who actually leased that space decided to not renew.

My first Phở; go ahead, make fun but I’ve lost my Phở-ginity and it was good. Seriously though: in talking with the guy working, I learned they may soon lose their spot in the French Market and have to relocate. I hope not. He didn’t seem hopeful they would be able to stay.

Very impressed with the food here. I eat phở all over New Orleans and this is the best! It shows they take pride in their cooking. Try the spicy cilantro chicken special if they have it!

Easily some of the best phở I’ve ever had; and my phở-fu is pretty incredible. The difference between this phở and others? You don’t feel like shit after eating it. Why? Because you can’t see the grease separate from the other liquids in the broth. Everything is very fresh and so non-greasy that it goes down as a very light lunch. They only have one kind of phở(beef), a beef bun and pork bahn mi so it’s not very veggie friendly(sorry, guys). The only downside is that it’s outside, like everything else in the market so there’s no AC; and that it’s cash only, also like everything else in the market. I can’t wait to go back and try the bahn mi and bring my friends there when they come to town!

Love this place. I came with a coworker the other day and grabbed a viet iced coffee and Bahn mi. Just what the doctor ordered. Yummy, freshly, tasty. We shot the shit with the owner and she was really cool, too. Love that it’s a casual lunch stall, can’t wait to come back again soon.

We were checking out the French Market and stumbled upon Nola Phở Life. I saw the Thai Iced Tea sign and headed over. The girl behind the counter was really nice and apologized that they didn’t have the tea since their delivery girl was late. They had fresh Coconut water and she suggested I might like this. As they have a display case of beautiful bakery items and my husband loves Tiramisu we ordered one of those as well. It was a hot and humid day-the coconut water was delicious and refreshing! Not like anything I’ve tried before. The Tiramisu dessert was a huge hit with my husband who is really picky about this dessert. It was large enough to share. When we get back I’m definitely heading back to NPL-hopefully for a Thai tea and some Phở next time!

Unphogettable Phở Sho! The only thing better than a phở pun is phở itself, and I’ll admit it was the groovy name that drew me in. I’m so very glad it did, as it ended up being one of my favorite meals of the trip. The phở was completely authentic and flavored to perfection and the mother daughter duo running the place could not have been more delightful. I was worried that it may have been too hot at the outdoor market to sit and eat comfortably, but once I dug in I completely forgot about the sweat that was dripping down my back. The ice cold creamy Vietnamese coffee may have helped in that regard. It was the best I’ve ever had. Add one of their fresh king cakes to the mix, a tasty sno ball from across the way and little shopping to walk it all off, and you’ve got yourself quite a phofilling afternoon :)

I loved the Phở I had at Nola for Life. It’s located inside the French Market and they have some bar stools you can sit at. I ordered the Phở which had everything already in it(ie the jalapeño, the lime, etc). The broth was not too rich, but it was salty and flavorful. I was suffering from a terrible hangover and it fixed me right up. The people working here are SO nice– and they were always checking on me(and making sure I was enjoying myself). If you like phở– go here!
