New Orleans Women’s Opera Guild House

I recently attended a fundraiser here and this is such a gorgeous place!
Houses like this are what make New Orleans so unique. The entire house is decorated like any mansion should be decorated that was built in 1865– gorgeous antique furniture and art is everywhere and the wide open space makes it perfect for hosting a party. The house and all of it’s furnishings and art was actually donated to the Opera Guild in 1965.
The event I attended here was lovely. The Opera Guild staff did a good job of keeping everyone fed and entertained. I like that the house has a lot of space, so if there is a big crowd there is good flow and no one feels bunched up.
They are actually giving tours of the home every Monday until May 16^th, 2016 so you don’t have to wait for a fancy event to see the house for yourself.
