Decent cheesesteak place on Bourbon street. Really hits the spot after a night of boozing up. Decent variety of meats and toppings.

I always try to stop here when I’m boozing on Bourbon St. Not the cheapest, not 100% authentic, but DAMNGOOD! I grew up in Philly and this was the closest thing to a «whiz with» that I had access to for a while. I’m an extra cheese kinda girl, highly suggest it!

If you’re on Bourbon St. and craving for some meat & grease, this is the place to go! The whole place smells like grease and the eating area even looked greasy too. I didn’t understand what the names of the different cheesesteaks meant, but I got the Hangover Cheesesteak. They are huge and greasy!

Very surprised that the best cheesesteak I’ve ever had was, not in Philly, but in New Orleans at 3 am.

They royally screwed up our order. They completely they left off a cheese steak. Then they charged $ 20 for a cheesesteak fries and a flat coke. They add a $ 3.00 delivery fee. This place has a decent cheese steak, but what a rip off.

If you’re going for ambiance, this isn’t the place — but it’s on Bourbon street so your expectations shouldn’t be too high. You feel like you’re right in the kitchen. Not a place to go for atmosphere — but the food is something else. Only reason I don’t give it 5 stars is because of the rest of the experience besides what’s going on inside your mouth. If I graded purely on taste though this place deserves 5 stars. The cheesesteaks are absolutely fabulous. Make sure you split it with someone. They are HUUUUGE! I’ve eaten many cheesesteaks in my day and this could possibly be the best one ever. The fact that they are open late after a long night of drinking is a definite plus too.

the reviews on this place are not up to date, because i tried this establishment and the cheese steak sandwich was really good and flavorful. they use rib-eye steak i asked the chef who prepared it. he had it seasoned and it hit the spot. the bread was really good and i enjoyed it. i must say one thing that really bothered me though, the overall restaurant needs to be a little more presentable but overall the sandwich is good for late night and they deliver.

I like it. As close as you will get to a true Philly cheesesteak without going to Philly. Everybody else that advertises cheesesteaks is just pretending. Granted, Bourbon is not the ideal destination, but still a tasty sandwich.

A late night on Bourbon street? Do your stomach a favor, skip the cardboard pizza in every Daq shop and grab a Cheesesteak! First off, I don’t get the negative reviews? Why would you go to a Cheesesteak place and order a poboy or a hamburger? Get serious, you don’t go to a pizza place and order tacos? Do yourself a favor and skip those. I have been wanting to stop at Mr. Chubby’s for a while, finally did .Very pleased in the cheesesteak. Great bread, good cheese whiz, very nice portion of veggies… overall it is a killer cheesesteak. I see Kent W. mentioned they fly in Amoroso’s bread, which makes a strong statement. The bread and cheese are the quality you get in Philly, and I have tried them all in Philly. lso, the reviewers complaining about the prices have some inaccuracies, the regular cheesesteak with onions and peppers runs you $ 8.95, and it is a about 13 inches long and fully stuffed from end to end.

Hot. Stinks. Dirty. Very little seating. No very friendly. We had to walk out.

They fly in the Amoroso’s rolls. Amoroso’s is to a Philly cheesesteak what Leidenheimer’s is to a poboy: it’s just not one without it. Plus, Cheese Whiz. This is the closest thing you are going to get to a Philly cheesesteak in New Orleans.

This place is absolutely AWFUL. I work at a bar in the French Quarter and decided to try it out after working an eight hour shift. I ordered a burger and it tasted like a dead rotting carcass. Because I was starving and sufficiently inebriated, I ate the whole thing. Boy, did I regret that about three hours later! I got food poisoning and couldn’t be more than ten feet from a toilet for the rest of the day. I asked around about this place and have found several other people who have gotten sick from eating there! I sure wish someone had warned me before, but I’m warning you now. Don’t waste your money or your pepto bismol!

Little hole in the wall right off Bourbon St. $ 10 steak subs but they’re big & will hit the spot. It’s not a unique NOLA sight but if you simply want a good cheese steak sub in NOLA it shouldn’t disappoint.

The only reason I came here was it was the first stop for food on Bourbon Street after that weird pricey fast food burger place and my friends wanted me to eat dinner because we were drinking a lot. I have good friends. Quite unremarkable and quite expensive, I must say. The only good thing was that the sandwich was massive. Still though, a cheesesteak, no onions no mushrooms no peppers no fries nothing but beef and cheese is going to run you almost $ 9. The bread wasn’t heated evenly(or at all? I was possibly too drunk to tell properly) and the meat/cheese combination was fairly bland. Really, I was well tipsy by that point, anything greasy probably would have made my inebriated taste buds happy, but somehow this just didn’t cut it.

Mr Chubbies is GREAT for breakfast delivery! The food was good, hot, and carefully packaged so that nothing spilled… thank you!

Man, what a huge coincidence that this place has only one other review from another Jeremy A. Sadly, I didnt have the same experience with my cheesesteak. I didnt think it was that great as the beef was super dried out and the cheese was there but it wasnt melted. Could have done with some mayo or whiz just to make the cheesesteak a bit more soggy like a good one should be. It was huge for 8 bucks I just cant go three stars because I wouldn’t come back for another one.

This was the first place we ate after arriving in New Orleans and the French Quarter. It was good food and as we later found out, very good value for Bourbon Street. I got a Philly Cheese and 2 pints for about $ 15 and we were able to sit and watch the Lakers playoff game while we ate as well as the passing foot traffic on Bourbon St through the large open front doors.
