A great resource library. Not only do you have access to everything hard copy, but you also have access to the entire Louisiana library database.(& usually national if not global.) if they do not have access to certain medical journals, they will request them for you as either electronic or hard copy. The main floor of the library is usually the noisy people. This is probably due to the lounge area when you exit the elevators that used to have a coffee counter. However, the coffee placed is closed indefinitely; the closest places are either the atrium(between MEB& the nursing/allied health busing) or the cafeteria. The 4th floor has study rooms with dry erase boards, but these get claimed fairly quickly. The 5th floor is the quietest, and therefore the best place to get some serious work done. Remember that most if the bathrooms are closed on the weekends!

The LSUHSC(Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center) Library is a modern space that primarily serves the students of the medical center. Unfortunately, you have to be a student or faculty to use the wi-fi, but you do have access to the space while the library is open and most of their journals and databases are available to folks who walk in. The campus is pretty secure so you have to know your way around to get in, but once you figure that out, it’s a pretty great library… if I do say so.
