This is a great place to watch away games(or if you aren’t lucky enough to score tickets for home games). It’s the quintessential neighborhood«dive» bar, the kind we love so much here in NOLA! On game day, they also provide great bar grub. For the more pleasant times of year, there’s a nice patio area. If you’re in the neighborhood, most definitely stop in for a drink, or three…

Definitely wanted to check this place out for a long time after hearing how it was basically a house tucked into the quiet Navarre neighborhood. The bar was fairly quiet the week night we walked in. There were a few friendly faces around the bar and a fairly nice bartender behind it. The place warmed up a bit when someone threw a dollar bill into the digital jukebox. The thing that stick out the most was that the bartender tallied each order in a notebook rather than a point of of sale system. Old school and quirky. I’m down.

Used to live a stones throw away from this joint so it was one of my favorite watering holes for a year or so. It’s definitely one of those bars that you can miss if you’re not careful.(Although the streets in this area are so bad that they slow you down enough so your chances of finding it might be good) There is a lot of history in this little bar believe it or not. It’s been around for a long while. Some of the regulars may or may not remember the history but the pictures on the wall tell stories of many days and nights where folks gathered to kick back a couple and share some good times. Overall, the bar is pretty cut and dry. They somehow found room to not only have a pool table but also foosball and some video poker machines. The bartenders are really nice and the owners are even more courteous to their patrons. My only complaint would be the excess smoke in this place. If you enter, you can bet you’ll smell like smoke the rest of the night. Other than that, it’s a pretty cool little joint!

It is with indescribable glee that I discover bars like this one. There’s barely a sign to indicate you’re entering a place that’s open to the public(maybe a hand painted sign at the entrance and an old one in the window), and the only light is a Bud sign. It seems like it could be some creepy party dude’s house or something. I only knew it was a bar because my friend lives around the corner from it. FTR, FTR«First To Review» dancing in my head when I first set eyes on it. Damn you, Shannon S for beating me to it. But, I disagree with your two stars. You can count on/judge a neighborhood bar like this one two things alone: cheap a$$ prices on beer and liquor *and* a whole lotta regulars. If you don’t have the former, you’re probably not going to get the latter. Lots A Luck has both, I’m happy to say. We sat down, ordered a Blue Moon and Ketel One and soda. 7 bucks. Within minutes, we were talking with a couple of the dozen or so regulars, who were mostly dudes(no overt pick-ups, which is nice) sitting at the bar. Ambiance is triple D(Joi-style) Dark, Divey and Divine. I’ll be back!

I discovered this super hidden bar during an adventure to the Homedale Inn with a group of friends. This bar is further down behind Homedale Inn and we just saw it as we were turning around and decided we had to check it out. We came in here and there were only around two people in the entire place so it seemed a bit spooky. It looks like a place that only people that live in the immediate area would even know about or go to. I’ve never met anybody else that has even heard of this place or been here. It looks like a decent place to hang out but it is just very far off the beaten path. If there were more people here and I would have stayed for longer than one drink this might actually have been a fantastic place but from my short visit there wasn’t much going on here.
