This place legit has one of the best hot counters in the Bywater. The red beans & rice are awesome and the meat pies are phenomenal. It’s also super affordable and stocks a good variety of cold drinks & beers. They also have a decent hot sauce selection for their size.

I find myself in this place at least 3 times a week, due to its juxtaposition work-wise. It’s like most«corner stores» in the Bywater, serving po-boys on down to Chinese food. This place is perfect in a pinch if you are: A: Hungover and need to eat some greasy food/get your Powerade, Advil, fix asap. B: Work in a kitchen and run out of necessary generic ingredients like eggs, milk, or ice. or C: looking to get holla-ed at by a large group of menacing looking neighborhood thugs that hang around outside. However, the owner/cashier is as sweet as she can be, a tiny Asian tough lady who remembers your name and seems to really give a shit about the cleanliness of the place. She also has all the necessary signs up, such as «You pay before you eat or drink anything!» There’s a cage inside the front door, should you need to go in at night, it feels somewhat safer than a lot of the other stores in the area. The po-boys are extremely average, a cold cut one consists of thickly sliced generic, over-processed deli meat. All of them are only hardly dressed BUT are perfect in a pinch, and CHEAP and FAST as all hell. Of course you can get boiled crawfish there too(but I wouldn’t recommend it, considering the size). I keep on accidentally calling it the Krazy Korner, but for a good reason, I suppose!
