I enjoyed my experience with this realty company and would recommend them to anyone looking to purchase or rent a house. The head realtor, Joe Gerrity, was very helpful in driving me around from place to place trying to find us the perfect apartment. Nothing in the general listings was a good fit for us(we are very picky) so he did some digging. The next place we saw was not even on the list, but we decided to check it out and it was the perfect house! He took care of all paperwork up to the point of signing the lease. Hassle free, friendly, knowledgeable, these guys really get the job done but don’t make it feel like work.

Buying your first home isn’t always easy. And a lot of realtors will lead you to what grabs them the fastest, largest commissions, right? Its seems like they are in it for their own personal gain, and show you no-duh homes that you really, in the end, don’t save much. That’s why I came to Korman-Gerrity right after my buddy had just purchased a doublewide in the Freret district: to find a company invested in both the sustainability of our city financially, and its repopulation with long-term, community minded residents Now I’ve been on the hunt for a house in NOLA for about 6 years now, and I didn’t even consider the Freret district. These guys stay ahead of the trends not only in styles and pricing, but also have a keen eye for location. Their concept brought me to some really neat places that were exactly what I always wanted, but had never realized were attainable, so I had not originally included them in the search. The homes my broker Joe showed me in that area looked ok, but once he explained how much some people are making in rental units in the area, I saw that he was not only helping me find a quality home, but also working to help me build my own real-estate business at the same time. After driving around enjoying some beer one afternoon while looking at homes in that area, which all were lower or right at my price, I can definitely say that these professionals are serious about meeting your needs while also helping you to realize the possibilities of growing your income in new revitalized or up and coming districts. Not everyone can live on St. Charles, right? I mean, physically, its just not big enough for everyone! And, obviously, absurdly expensive. So why not fill in the rest of the empty areas where we have tons of space and potential? Who needs to build up, when we have the space ready that we already need? Its a business model like that which not only contributes to the client’s well-being, but also aims to the strengthen the bonds of the city overall. The homes had massive potential, and I’m now able to have a home here which can be updated to a higher quality residence and then be rented out at an affordable rate in order to retain the residents of that community, and, subsequently, their culture, without pushing out life-long members of the neighborhood. A+ for quality service. A++ for helping the city. Keep up the good work. Since a lot of my friends are now at the age where buying is happening more frequently, y’all will definitely be first on my list of recommendations.
