Scott was amazing to say the least. My hair looked fantastic when I left I loved my color and cut and I really enjoyed my time with him. I can’t wait to go back!

Is it weird that I’d rather fly across the Pacific Ocean over to New Orleans to get my hair cut and styled by Scott, instead of suffer through another expensive yet mediocre salon experience in Hong Kong? You judge. ..

Scott is very professional and I look forward to getting my hair cut and colored everytime. The price is worth every penny, and I always get compliments after a styling. I’ve been going to Jupiter Salon for ten years and I love it.

To me it’s not that helpful to read a review from somebody who just got their cut — you have to wait and see how it plays out. I got my haircut about 10 weeks ago and it looks great as ever.
Beyond being a total professional, Scott’s a real character, a good guy, and a raconteur to boot. It was a great experience meeting him and I’ve had nothing but praise for his work over the entire time since.
FWIW it was my first time at his salon (and in NOLA) — thanks to Unilocalers for the recommendation! I had no clue where to go and Jupiter was a great find.

Scott did an absolutely amazing job! I am a perfectionist and have been with the same stylist in Miami for 15 years. I have always been hesitant to try a new stylist, however, I had to fly to New Orleans last minute for an event and needed to have my hair highlighted and styled. Scott did not hesitate to schedule me (a new client!) at the very last minute, and blew me away with how incredible my hair came out. I have never written a review on any site before… and instead of continuing to rave about how happy I am; I’ll just say this… I will be flying to New Orleans to have Scott highlight and style my hair from now on. :)

Scott is amazing, he did cut and color and I couldn’t be happier. He is talented and masterful, knowing exactly what would suit you when you don’t. I live in LA and have been to may folks, but Scott is by far the best, he did my hair more than a month ago and I am convinced the color and shape is actually even getting better each day… I will fly to Nola from now on to have him take care of my hair, what a gem

Scott is amazing. His salon is in a fabulous modern loft and he makes you feel right at home. I haven’t cut my hair short in years because of the butcher job I received the first time I decided to take the plunge. I was equally nervous to have someone else make such a drastic change to «my power as a woman» when I walked into Jupiter. However, my fears were quickly assuaged by Scott’s personable demeanor and personal input about my facial structure and hair type. I gave him free reign and he gave me the best haircut I’ve ever gotten (a modified spunky pixie). I was nervous to return to my restaurant job, where all of the regulars were fond of my longer hair, but almost everybody stopped me to ask who cut my hair because they loved it. Don’t let the price of the cut sway you, it is worth every penny, and then some.

First I want to start off by saying that the best way to get a 5 star rating from me is to offer me a beer before making me look good.
That said, I relentlessly researched the best stylist within a 3 hour radius before coming to Jupiter. Already aware of his international training and high end clients, Scott had a lot to live up to with my high standards. I drove 2 hours from Hattiesburg just to get my hair cut, and I’m never letting anyone else touch my hair again.
I came in looking for someone to fix what had already been messed up. I was practically asking for a miracle due to my last stylist butchering my bangs. For once in my life I found a hair stylist that knew what to do with my hair, and knew what needed fixed. and what needed to left alone to fix as it grows.
I’ve learned from my bad experiences that like a good doctor, it’s important to have a well intentioned hair stylist that isn’t all about the money. When I shared my desire to have my hair colored, Scott was not hesitant to warn me about the maintenance of being a slave to color. Honesty is always the best policy, even if it costs a little bit of business. Scott knows this, and utilizes it for the benefit of his clients.
As a woman, my hair is my accessory. It must to look good at all times. As I was once told, «You can be wearing all Gucci, and if your hair looks whack it’s going to look like ‘smoochie’.Or if your hair looks good, while wearing all ‘smoochie’ it looks like Gucci!»
I don’t care how expensive or inconvenient it is for me to find a good stylist, if i find one I’m going to stick with it. And Scott Renaud is a keeper.
Also, i left with some awesome tips on where to eat while in town. Recommendations from a local are priceless for a good afternoon in a city. Unilocal won’t tell me what’s close by or what’s on the menu.
I wouldn’t recommend Jupiter to a man, or anyone looking for a simple upkeep. Scott is a man with a lot of art and skill, for someone who only takes 5 clients a day. save his time, your time, and your money and go to Cost Cuts. But if you’re a woman, as uptight about your hair as I am and looking for a haircut that requires a lot skill– there isn’t anywhere else I would recommend with 5 stars.

Detailed and Professional. If you want a perfect cut that will last longer than the norm and one of your traits is quality over quantity then Scott is the only choice.

This is the best salon in New Orleans! Scott is fantastic. The prices may be high but it is worth every penny. Scott is a educated and gifted stylists who has special techniques that work for every hair type. I highly recommend him for all hair types! I have curly hair which is very difficult to cut and he does an excellent job in shaping and texturizing.
