There is NOTHING Italian about this place! I’ve given this place several chances for years and ordering different menu items-never again. Whoever is keeping this place in business doesn’t know diddly doo what REAL Italian food is!

I’ve given this place a couple of chances but they are just not good. Their spinach&artichoke dip is ok but I always order a cheese pizza and its always so bland. I always order the same thing from the Italian Pie on Bullard and Idk what they’re doing differently from the Bullard location because the pizza from Bullard is fantastic.

I funded Mark Morad owner of this business and he defaulted on our advance and made no effort to repay. He has been dodging me for months. No one should do business with this guy. He will take your money and run. He will make false promises to repay and currently we are considering pressing fraud charges against him currently. You have been warned!

Italian Pie is good drunk food and that’s about it. But just be careful not to be too drunk before ordering/picking up your food — you’ll need your wits as it seems that most of the employees have misplaced theirs. I’ve heard too many horror stories from friends to not be overly clear and concise when ordering from them. I mean really… who orders cheese-sticks midday and receives and bunch of cheesecake instead? Who get’s ignored, yelled at and given a wrong order, all in one visit? Someone who orders from Italian Pie, that’s who! Service sucks and they do NOT hide it. This place is in walking distance from one of our favorite watering holes. After a few Abitas and GranMa shots we decided pizzas were our only option for dinner. Cool. Knowing how incompetent they can be, we walked over to place our order and watch them ring it up: 1 large pepperoni pizza, 1 large cheese pizza and an order of mozzarella sticks. Easy enough. After another round of drinks at the Mayfair we ventured back to pick up our order and head home. In the two blocks it takes to get back, everything was cold, especially the cheese-sticks. At that point, it didn’t really matter. Our insides were filled with booze needing to be soaked up and that’s exactly what it did. There was little sauce on both pizzas but I like it that way. That’s about the only«good» thing about it. The mozzarella sticks were unjustly cold. Again, only enjoyable due to our state of being. If you’re sober looking for a solidly delicious pizza, bypass this place completely and head over to Midway. You’ll thank me later.

Came here the night of Muses when we saw the wait for Superior Grill was 45 minutes. We were seated immediately and waited for another couple to meet us. But after a few minutes we went ahead and ordered. The pasta was bland, but the chicken on top was good, and the hummus/tomato spread with pita was very good. Will probably stick with pizza if we go again. The service was also VERY slow. Maybe just one bad waitress.

Agree, lunch specials are very good, filling and inexpensive. The dining area inside is beautiful. Old classic home with Italy paintings that have a New Orleans touch. Our waiter new the menu to the T!

I enjoy Italian Pie a lot!!! Specifically this location. Let me tell you why. 1. Italian Baked Wings: It’s delicious! They make me happy, fresh, juicy, and delicious. I probably could go here and order this alone. 2. Entrees: It’s just all filling options with some yummy garlic bread you really can’t go wrong with them, reasonable prices for food portions. 3. Atmosphere: It’s a good location for groups or intimate relax outings with friends or a date. Normally there is no wait no matter the time I go so it should be minimal issues. 4. Service. I have never had an issue with staff here. Everyone is always extra pleasant and helpful and just accommodating! Plus: Great drink specials, drink sizes. Keep in Mind: It can get a loud in their time to time based on how the walls are set. Also, parking is on street near Touro, so expect to look for some parking a little.

This is possibly the nicest pizza restaurant in the area. I swear this used to be somebody’s house. Food-wise, it’s not too different from the other Italian Pie restaurants in the area except for the wine selection.

I have always loved the food at Italian Pie and this location is so tasty. I love love love the white gourmet and the lasagna is pretty scrumptious. The building was beautifully redone and the patio area outside is very nice. The service is very hit or miss. I frequent here often and sometimes we have a wonderful experience and others we wonder why we just didn’t order take out. The restaurant is never really packed but our food always seems to take longer than might be needed. Now, The drink specials are very reasonable and would recommend them to all.

I can’t comment on the food, even though we were there forty minutes waiting for it and were promised it was ready/coming out twice. A new waitress can be forgiven but eventually the hostess got on the case and they still couldn’t manage to get out food that was supposedly ready to out table in another 15 minutes. Maybe the food is good but you might have to serve it yourself. Beware!

Don’t waste your time with the Alfredo pasta… absolutely horrendous. Even the diet coke was flat!!! Only decent thing was the Garlic bread. Should’ve known when a place is empty on Friday night that something is wrong. Won’t go back there anytime soon!

This is probably the nicest location of this local chain as it is located in a historic house. They have built a nice patio and done extensive renovations to this location. The food isn’t anything fantastic but on average its good. The service is adequate and they have a decent selection on their menu. The lasagna portion is respectable but the flavors could certainly be bolder. They frequently offer excellent drink specials at this location.

Apparently much nicer in comparison to other locations(this was my first). Italian Pie has a large patio area to dine and/or drink, a large bar area with small tables, and a spacious dining room filled with natural sunlight. I stopped in for lunch, and was pleased by the long list of lunch combos, and noticed that its a great spot if there is a large group gathering for lunch. Great service, good food, and average prices. Nothing jumped out compelling me to return, however I noticed their phenomenal happy hour specials and I think that might just compel me. I look forward to returning for happy hour!

This place has an outdoor seating area that seemed nice, though it was raining when we went so I didn’t bother. A large dining room and a bar area round it out. It was pretty empty when we went on a weeknight about 7pm, not sure if that’s usual or not, but it was ok. On the quiet side, but acceptable. Pizza was pretty good. Ended up going during happy hour so drinks were 2-for-1, score! Had cannolis for dessert which almost took away a star. They were just not what I was expecting. The dough part of cannolis I had had before was thin and crispy, and these ones were thick and chewy. They tasted ok but were not really what I was looking for. An entire star of this review goes to our server, whose name I don’t remember(it was a couple weeks ago). He was probably the best server I have ever encountered. He seemed genuinely excited to be there, and to help us, and that we were there. Wow! I mean, I guess that’s his job, but he was totally cool. When he walked by across the restaurant and caught my eye, he waved! Like he was a friend saying hello from across the room. Good food, excellent service. Enough to keep it on my list of possible places to get pizza.

Just had a lovely lunch at the new location on Prytania near Touro. Because the weather is gorgeous, we sat on the porch. There is also deck seating and a parking lot on the side street… including a spot for folks picking up to go orders. The menu seems a little broader than most locations, about a dozen pasta dishes and dessert shots(mmm key lime mousse). But seriously the inside is like eating in a fancy pants restaurant and the bar looks gorgeous. I may have to hit this place up again for happy hour.

I was super excited to hear about a new pizza place moving in just a few blocks from my house. I gave them about a month or so to settle in and streamline their operation, and then meandered on over with a couple of friends. I’m super glad I did. This may be my new favorite pizza place in the city. The service was good, the pizza was not expensive and the crust was… just amazing. It reminds me of those Pizza Hut stuffed crust commercials from the past, that told you to eat the crust first. This crust is totally worthy of the«eat first» treatment. The rest of the ‘za was also pretty good, but just icing next to that delicious delicious crust. And, even better, it was cheap! The three of us spent about forty dollars total for a pizza, an appetizer(the spinach and artichoke dip was also really good) and two pitchers of beer. I’d recommend Italian Pie to any pizza lovers in the neighborhood.

crazy deals + good food + no wait = where are all the Unilocalers? this place is great Ok so I too was confused that this place hasn’t gotten any love on Unilocal. They have crazy deals going on right now such as 3 for 1 drinks. Lets repeat that… 3 for 1 drinks. I got a mid shelf vodka and cranberry for $ 4 but then i got three of them for just that $ 4… dangerous… The service is all about you. It was pretty empty while we were there and its obvious that the manager is making sure everyone puts the customer first. This is awesome because you always have someone right around the corner ready to get you more food or another round of dangerous 3 for 1 drinks. I liked the eggplant sandwich as much as I used to on Magazine st. My boyfriend got the Margarita pizza and it was awesome but very oily. This place is cheap, good, and has good people working there. I recommend. So go and Unilocal about it people!

So… I’m still trying to suss out whether or not last night was a dream. First off, I don’t understand why no one had reviewed this place yet. It’s new, yes, but it’s also incredible. And the most glorious thing about it right now? 3FOR1HAPPYHOUR. Are you kidding me? The wine wasn’t that vinegary crap either, I chose the cab and half expected the glass to be a thimble. Nope. It was decent sized and downright delicious. This deal is not to be compared with some of your French Quarter 3 for 1scams either, where the 1 beer you pay for is $ 10 or something ridiculous. It was cheap and just so perfect that I almost got all weepy with joy before my third glass. My hubs chose the beer and the only selection is Coors. While he’s not usually a domestic beer drinker, he was not at all complaining once his frosty mug arrived. The other incredible thing is that the owner clearly put a ton of money and thought into the design of this place! IT. IS. GORGEOUS. They remodeled a house with all the shiny wood, gold leaf ceiling tiles, hammered copper tables, and antique looking chairs. I had to remind myself when walking in that it was actually an Italian Pie. And then promptly forgot this fact throughout the rest of our dining(but mostly drinking) experience. The booths are huge comfy and leather with round pillows that pop out of the side(as my friend’s daughter delightfully pointed out)! We ran into more neighborhood people here than I have in a long time. What was the main topic of discussion? The unbelievable 3 for 1 of course… The bartenders were friendly(we had Sean– delightful), handsome, and fast. I know this place is new but when the manager comes to your table and checks on you? Makes polite conversation that’s genuinely interesting? I’m sold. The food really was delicious, fresh, and well presented. We ordered the Caprese Salad & my stomach is growling just thinking about it. I honestly cannot say enough great things about this place. You will need to check it out yourself, and soon, because if it seems too good to be true, it might end up being that way!
